Soft Plastice, A texas rigged purple worm is a fish catcher and probably accounts for more bass than any other lure

It really depends on location and water temperature. As a general rule i like to use 4" plastic tube bait. They are very versatile and allow to be worked slowly to allow for the fish to strike. When the water is cold as it is in springtime bass slow down, when the temp goes up you can switch to something that covers more ground such as a spinner bait. So i would recommend the 4" power pro tube from Powerbait. Try and bring a variety of colors to try, and when you find one that works it will pay off.

The Hydra Fishing Lure is one of the best lures for any time of the season. You hav to buy it from the web but trust me its worth it and I've never used a lure quite like this.

I have caught 10 bass in under 20 min.

But you can also catch muski, trout, northern pike, and walleye too.

I would show you some pics but I dont have any proof to show you at the moment but look at this.

Spring time is one of the best times of the year for using plastic lizards. On a pre-spawn pattern target breaklines with weed near spawning flats and fish them on a Carolina rigged lizard with a 4/0 or 5/0 extra wide gap hook. During the spawn they can be fished either Texasstyle or Florida style on the beds. Post-spawn, will be back to a very similar pattern to prespawn, but you will need to fish the channel ledges and treelines close to where the prespawn fish were. What makes this bait so productive is the ability to thouroughly probe the desired staging ares that bass use predominantly before, during and after the spawn.

Here is a very good article on spring bassin'.

I just caught my biggest bass this weekend on a big glow in the dark jighead with a green sparkley Yum! plastic grub. 5lbs smallmouth!

The walleyes ate all our minnows so I threw that on a reeled in a big surprise, first cast.

I would drag a night crawler through the water and anything with a hook through their nests because they are really protective about their nest.

try dragging something small over their bed and twitch it as it goes through
also try fly fishing it with a fly that looks like a cricket or ant

A dark colored texas rigged worm always seems to work.
