I'm sure many won't understand what you have said but good point. They make that claim in a lack of knowledge.

Atheism means to lack belief in a god. Having the lack of belief in something does not make one all-knowing. If someone does not believe in a god because there is no substantial evidence that a god exists, the need for knowledge ends there. He does not need to know each detail of the universe to believe what he does.
I do not believe in unicorns. I have found no substantial evidence that they have ever existed outside of fairy tales. I do not have to "know all" to believe that unicorns are not real. I simply just don't believe that they have ever been real animals. This may or may not change if I come across some evidence that contradicts my disbelief in unicorns.
I hope this has been helpful.

Claiming an entity doesn't exist is an oxymoron.
Being in denial that it doesn't exist... then it does exist in and of itself...( BTW denial and doesn't are negatives in the same sentence and don't exist together...)
If one claims it doesn't exist... then in reality it does exist. Then why make the claim it doesn't exist....if it wasn't really there to began with anyway.
So therefore it does or you wouldn't be making the denial that it doesn't.
It can't be both. Then it is a gray area and its a draw.

You don't have to be any more all-knowing to be sure there isn't a God than to be sure there is one. Are you claiming to be God if you know the world well enough to know that God exists when there is no proof the rest of us can see?

Calling yourself an athiest means you simply do not believe in any God. Or you Do not believe there is any proof in the existense of God. Nor do you participate in any of the pratices of any faith based religions. I do not believe it is a contradiction.
I, However, Do believe in God, I am a Christian who believes the God sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, to Earth to make that Sacrifice on the Cross for the forgiveness of all our sins. And that God raise Christ from the dead and that Christ is now seated at the right hand of God and Christ will return again some day.
God give us the freedom to love Him. And He wants us to come to Him on our own. I am to Love my neighbors regardless of their beliefs and Pray that they may come to know God.
I wish you Beautiful Day.

Bad analogy/existential argument, unless you really are all-knowing.
You can claim a great many things are untrue based on evidence. What's the evidence for God? I haven't seen any, so I don't believe. Doesn't make me all-knowing.

No. The claim is by others, that god exists. Atheists simply say that there is no proof that any such creature has ever existed. Study science and you will have to agree.

If you claim to be all knowing, then you are all wrong, and
there for can not be God, otherwise you would have known
the answer to your question.
God knew you were going to ask this question and knew
that I would answer, and God knows my real name. Do
you?

"Claiming" is one thing,..."proving" is another.
Atheists "claim" that God doesn't exist and Christians "claim" that God does exist,... but neither group can "claim" that they can back up their "claims" with facts.
So the answer to your question, in my opinion, is "no".

Atheism also means - no belief in God.
So are you saying that you are saying that Unicorns, Leprechauns, Zeus, Ra and Poseidon may exist? Because you don't know everything.
