Your position on the origin of the trinity is not quite accurate.
Yes, the church (Catholic) established the doctrine for Christianity in the 3rd century.
But the trinity concept dates back to ancient times.
It can be found in Egyptian and Babylonian religions.
The (corrupted) church of the 3rd century incorporated many pagan beliefs and practices in order to make it more attractive to the many pagan (non-christian) people that were under the rulership of the Roman empire.
This corruption or deviation from scripture was foretold by Christ.

Your question is based on a false premise. The trinity has been around in implicit form since Genesis 1:26 and explicitly since the time of Jesus. The doctrine was not fleshed out and set down as a "dogma" until the third century because of all the heresy that was present concerning the nature of Christ and his relationship to the Father.

Before then, there were always groups, even within the same religious sects that thought differently about the nature of God. The councels were done to try to unify everyones beliefs.
Constantine didn't understand why there were so many "theories" about who and what God was. He brought them all together to learn more about their bielifs and to try to understand why there was so much difference. He decided that there needed to unity in the church- even among the different sects of christianity, so he brought the leaders of all the different sects together. Does that mean that everyone that was at the councels endorced the idea of the Trinity? No. Some didn't.
Hence, when you research some sects of christianity you find some that don't believe in the idea of the Trinity.
All the confusion started even before the creeds. I think it probably began when Christ was alive. He spoke in parables and stories a lot. This was on purpose. He did it so each person could get the meaning out of it that they wanted, what they could understand at the time.
Never once when Christ was alive did He come out and say that He was God, or that Him and God were one in person. The fact that He, Himself, didn't spell out the Trinity concept leaves people to speculate the true nature of God and Christ. We wouldn't be human if we didn't try to find a way to understand God.
Does this mean that because you believe in the Trinity you are wrong? No. Does it mean that if you don't believe in the Trinity you are wrong? No. It just means that we all have our concepts about who and what God is, and who knows, we may all be wrong!

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
1 John 5:7 , written circa 85 A.D.
Trinity existed before the creation, your premise is flawed.

The trinity doctrine was FORMULATED and given definition during the Nicean council in 325 AD but that does not mean anything. Everyone who followed Jesus knew that Jesus was divine when he was around, his statements on God the Father and the Holy Spirit and to this very day they believe what He said. That they did not define it at the time is therefore irrelevant, like Isaac Newton formulating laws of gravity millions of years after the fact.
That they finally formulated it was a plus for Christianity because of the heresies like Mohammad's version and JW's version , the Mormon's version and the New Age version of Christ that exist today. (ALL DIFFERENT!!) This enables Christians to know who is really Christian and not in their beliefs.
Lousy question, shows poor logical reasoning.

MT 28:19
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit.
Think you must have missed this.
