Who are these people who say 'god bless' How dare they speak for god?

The Lord Himself said to bless those who curse you and do good to your enemies. So, if you pray for the good of others God will honor it. Because His word says to be like your Father in heaven who gives good things to the wicked and the good. So, it is not in contradiction if we pronounce good on people. In fact, if you read the bible it is God's desire that we wish well on others, so that they will know God is concerned about them and loves them. But as a believer we have in the power of our tongue to bless people.
