Ron Hubbard wrote dienetics. This book is the attemt to explain things. It has truthes but is just like any other belief system, it has its BS also. Tom Cruise just made it more commonly known. I think John travolta is somewhat of a believer in this stuff too.

To believe in Scientology one needs to apply it to their life. If the techniques work, then you believe. Try some other part of Scientology, if that works for you then you can believe more.
Scientology works for my wife and I. So we apply it, we believe in the techniques of Scientology.
