According to the Christian myth, yes. I believe and I wish I had the actual verse on hand. That it is adultery to think about lust after another mans wife. If it is a sin to think about it, then the Christian god must know it right?

Edit: For Mathgoddess... Common sense must prevail here and you must realize that a God of love, wisdom, power and justice, sees when a person goes bad and abandons this person just as quickly and could only return to such a person if and when they truly and sincerely repent... He can't be bothered with evil! He will simply judge it and rid the earth of it in the last day! at Armageddon... and keep alive those who are marked for survival... That's all and it's not so hard to understand! Is it???
For CosmicKarma: What we do here is proving Satan the liar, and showing him that in spite of all he did to discredit the true God, and in spite of us all being imperfect humans as we inherited this imperfection from our first parents who could not resist doubting God as Satan (through the serpent) told them that God was actually holding out on them... that they could be even happier if only they disobeyed him and did the only one thing He had asked them to not do (as the only form of "religion" bar none... ) which was still too much to ask? From a loving heavenly Father who had given them the first cultivated corner of the paradise that the whole earth was meant and still is meant to become! to time indefinite (Psalms 37: 11, 29)...
There are just so many lies to be exposed that manking has accepted to swallow, that it is a wonder that any one will actually come to know the truth again as it is easy to understand also why Christ asked when he was on earth, if there would even be any faith left upon his return???
For Magus:
Matthew 5: 27 - 28... about committing adultery in one's heart! but as far as it being a "myth", if this is what you truly believe, then you are calling God a liar as He claims to have inspired it all (2 Timothy 3: 16) and that it impossible for him to lie... (Titus 1: 2, Hebrews 6: 18) and that the first one to call him a liar was Satan, which is why he became the father of the lie (John 8: 44) and is the reason we are in this "virtual reality of what the real life is meant to be and will be as soon as the mess he (Satan) created, will be taken care of, once and for all after Armageddon. It may seem like a long time to you and others to resolve this crazy issue of sovereignty as to who has the holy right to be our God and Leader, but it is only six days to them... 2 Peter 3: 8...
My answer to jEfFeRsOn...
Yes Only the true God can read the heart! along with his son Jesus, which he did a few times when he was on earth, with his heavenly Father's help, of course! and that is why we must pray in spirit and truth and not out loud and in public as the 2 Corinthians 4: 4 and John 8:44 would or could sabotage things in a way that the answer would come from him and not the true God and would end up in causing our very own death... whereas when we pray in silence, from the heart, only the true God hears it, as long as we pray in the name of his only-begotten son, Christ Jesus... with a sincere heart and whenever it comes down to doing his will, he promises to not only listen but to grant us the answers. All he demands on our parts is faith... as it is impossible to please him without it... Of course, it would also imply that we love him, the true God, with all of our heart, mind our soul and that we would exert ourselves to know him and his only-begotten son Christ, a little better each day! The only way to do this would be to make sure of all things (1 Thessalonians 5: 21) by reading the only book on earth which claims divine inspiration, the Bible (2 Timothy 3: 16) and avoid listening to religious authority figures, to whom no salvation belongs (Revelation 18: 4).

If you are creating a bread...you mix all the ingredients together and then you roll the dough etc etc etc...
You then put it in an oven and you kn ow the exact way that it is going to react...in this case, it is going to rise and become bread!
So why won't God, who created us...NOT know our thoughts?

Yes. God is omniscient, meaning he knows the past, present, and future, even what we are thinking at any given moment; since he knows everything his justice will always be administered fairly.

Yes, according to what we know about god, he is "omnipotent", "Omniscient" and "Transcedental". With all these qualities ascribed to him, he knows everything, the question is that if he knows every action and thought process of ours that we will go through in our run on earth, what is our purpose here?
