We're about to make more than one million illegal immagrats legal, do the people of the USA really have a chance in saying "no" to this?

I've said this over and over but the American people approve of there being a path to legal status for illegal aliens. That information is easy to find in the web so I won't bother to post it again here. The new bill, however, is needlessly complicated in the way it attempts to do that. It's a perfect example of legislation written by a committee.

More than 12 million you mean, right? Not one? Bear Sterns estimates it as nearer 20. However, the other stuff in the bill and lack of criminal screening (theirs is a joke) takes it out of just being an 'amnesty' bill. There are REASONS they didn't want this to go to normal committee and discussion processes. The bill is a complete sell out.

LS yes, we are sure we have it right. The very first section would make them legal temporarily, with only whatever screening the government can do in a 24 hour period when everyone is applying at once. That waits for no 'triggers' either.

It is amnesty.
The people will have a chance by letting our representatives know our position on the issue but the time is short,it is only a couple of weeks before the will be meeting again on the bill, the next question is;Are they going to listen to us or the big money that is lobbing for the bill?

Yes we have a chance if we will start doing something about it instead of complaining. There is a HUGE anti-immigration march planned for June 14, 15th, and 16th. You also can e-mail congressman and senators. By the way, it's not one million, it's from 12 to 20 million!

Yes, we DO have a choice to say "NO" to this.

Call ALL of your Representatives and tell them to say "NO!" to the North American Union. Look at page 210...it tries to make the SPP legal, although it is not legal in by any means and is removing the USA sovereignty and Constitution.

No, it's obvious the political parasites couldn't care less what "we the people" think. All we can do is vote against the creeps who are behind this sell-out which is such a corrupt bargain even Bennedict Arnold would have been ashamed of it! John McCain has SOOOO lost my vote!

The people of the USA need to boot out these politicians who are hell bent on coddling illegals.

This bill sucks and will never work.

Yeah, I think you are a little low in your figures. I have heard 12 million or so.
And I think it sucks. I have written both my Senators but had no reply from either. So it sounds like a "done" deal to me!
