It is just the religion I think that gets the most media is all. I don't believe that and I'm christian, bad people are everywhere regardless, and a faith or religion does not really have anything to do with it.On a low level incident, I saw this guy at Christmas last year, I was waiting in the parking lot for my man to come out of the mall and he was one of those people that created his own parking spot (you know where he was blocking others lol) and he has all these bags with gifts so he's obviously been there for some time, he unloads all his bags into his car, lights up a smoke, then throws his coffee cup on the ground and drives off. The reason I tell this is b/c he had a rosary hanging on his rear-view mirror, lol. So I think people sometimes need to look past what society defines as God, because sitting in a pew for a couple hours on Sunday, and no you don't have to be christian to help others. :) As it is said, live as God, not for it. Good luck.

Good works are not there for just a christian to do they are there for all of us and the Christian charities such as Cafopd Tear Fund Christian Aid etc. co-operate with secular organisations. A Christian accepts that Christ died for their sins and is their personal saviour. but is aware that their salvation is through the grace of God alone. Good works alone are not enough time must be set aside for prayer either alone or with others to provide mutual support. If we are capable of good works oprayer is not enough.
We all of us fail in this which goes to show it is not a soft option if you want to do it properly. Our failures is where the grace of god comes in. Oh. boy does this sinner need it
There is another point Good works often need money to perform them hence the need to shout a little or a lot depending on your point of view

You only have this problem if you are a catholic. The protestants, through the insights of Martin Luther, realise that Christianity does not have to have anything to do with good works. You come closer to God through faith alone and, that way, you make it less likely you will feel the need to shout any good works you do perform from the rooftops.
Many Christians also forget Jesus clear teachings that charity should not be trumpeted.

Let me do my good work for the day and try to help you.
Before having a go at Christians use the spell checker Yahoo have provided and at least spell the name of their religion correctly, it isn't "chritianity".
Weak efforts here too..
"christains" -- Christians
"regardeless" -- regardless
"believes" -- beliefs
May I suggest you read more, your language skills will improve and you may become less bigoted.
Edit: As I suspected this is not a genuine question but rather an opportunity to peddle your bigoted opinions. Your additional comments expose that (and I'm not talking about those addressed at me - feel free to attack me if you wish).

It doesn't people who aren't Christian can do good works however, the Bible says that if you are not saved then your good works are just filthy rags to God. Your good works will not save you from going to Hell which is what a lot of people think. They think, "If I'm good and help others then surely God will let me into Heaven." But that's not what the Bible says. As Christians, we do good works to show the lost and unsaved that we are Christians. Our works should show others that we are saved. We don't do good works to go to Heaven, we do good works because we are going to Heaven..there's a big difference. We shouldn't have to tell people that we are Christian, they should be able to tell by our good works and the fruit those good works produce that we are SAVED.

True - you do not have to be a Christian to be nice and help others. Christians do not do "good works" be to better than anyone else either. Their "works" are just evidence of the love they have for God and for other people. Most would probably "do good" regardless of their beliefs.

True Christians do not just do things that are good, they do things to bring Glory to God.
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
The Bible is our life's instruction book that tells us how God wants us to live according to Him. Not everyone who says Lord Lord will inter into God's kingdom.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
It says that those who do the will of God/Father which is in heaven. If you dont know where you are going in life, you use a road map so you don't get lost. That is what the Bible is. It is Life's road map so we don't get lost.

Hey, you shoulda been in Bible class with me this morning... we talked about this very subject!!!
I see it as: we should all do good, but Christians are called to continue in doing good for reasons beyond the standard ones. We are called to do good to bring credit to God, not ourselves. We don't always get that right, but we're not perfect either. The Bible tells us to do good in the sight of God and man. And it tells us to do good deeds so that men will see and will praise God for the deeds we did. It's a fine line but I hope you see the point.
Continue in good works - Christian or not!!!
Be blessed!

Because they are arrogant and think they are special because they believe in God and want to bang on about how they do good because they believe in God. That's always been my point - others do good because they want to not because they think they will be rewarded for it when they die. They can't see how ridiculous they are making themselves look and how everything they do is about , me, me, me and not about others.
