Actually you should drink water, up to 8 to 10 glasses a day to keep all your organs flushed out . However water can also be tea or coffee, soups. Just don't be too liberal with the sugar or sugar substitutes.

You can also drink juices, 100 per cent juice is best.

You should really make sure you drink some milk in the day as well to preserve your bones. Everyone needs calcium and milk, dairy products like lower fat cheese and yogurts are really important for young growing kids.

Lemonade's ok, just not a lot , iced tea, maybe one or two sodas and not diet ones as they contain aspertane and that's not good for your body.

Do everything in moderation , don't go overboard. That includes snacks. Watch your portion sizes and try and get as much exercise a day as you can. Walking is good, as is swimming, bike riding , yoga, tai chi or workouts at the gym.

It's taken me 5 years to lose 70lbs , and even though it's been a slow process, I'm keeping my weight off. Fad diets where you lose alot of weight quickly , usually result in you gaining all the fat back and more once you go off the diet.

Instead of saying diet, lifestyle changes sets you up for more success. Diets never work.

Try this:

Water flavored with something. If you take distilled water and add a small amount of soda, fruit juice, etc., maybe at a 9 to 1 ratio, it doesn't taste like water, but it could still be 99% water. This works much better with really clean water, such as distilled water. It doesn't work so well with tap water because that has a strong flavor (even if you don't notice it all the time) from all the minerals in it.

Lemons are helpful in detoxifying and strengthening your immune system, both of which will help you lose weight. But don't drown lemonade in white sugar -- that takes away from the effect. Try it with just a little sugar, or mix lemonade with distilled water.

Stay away from diet soda or anything that's unnaturally sweet. It will make you hungry if you drink it.

try green tea or sun tea with a little honey if you must have it sweetened. Honey is far better than adding sugar. Crystal light comes in many flavors, even lemonade! I squeeze lemon or orange in my water. Then it's not so plain. Stay away from the flavored bottle waters, they still have sugar!(aspartame) If you really want a soda, have one, try diet soda. I hate diet sodas, but I can drink diet 7-up. If you Deny yourself what you want all the time, you'll end up frustrated and splurging all the time and blowing the diet. Remember, everything in moderation. Make one day out of the week your cheat day. Whatever you been craving for, have it in moderation on that day. Good luck!

Artificial sweetners are probably not good for you in the long run. Lemonade is very acetic and therefore hard on the enamel of your teeth., and if you want them to rot out really fast drink Gatorade. Sorry sweetie, the farther you get from nature, the harder it is on the bod. drink water. And yes, indeed you can just drink water for the next 2, 20, 40, 50+ years.....

An occasional soda will not hurt you, but keep in mind that that body and all the crud you put in it will last you for the rest of your life..... and the nicer to it your are as a young person, the nicer it will be to you as you age.

You can drink any diet soda you want and there are a lot of sugar-free lemonades. It's best to have at least half your liquid consumption be water, but if you just won't, then it's better to drink sugar free stuff rather than not drink enough. If you're dieting, you should probably be drinking around two liters a day total.

Try fruit juice , water it down a little, tea, coffee, Check the calories in what ever you choise to drink, remember that there are most often 2+ servings in a bottle, and the calories are per serving. Lemonade tend to have a lot of sugar calories.
Note:: Artificial sweeteners are not good for you, Look them up on the Internet. They can also cause crystallization in your kidneys. And cause you to gain weight.

What kind of diet? For weight loss?
Chocolate milk is too high in sugar. Try adding a squeezed lemon slice to your water for a little variety.
Diet drinks are ok, but the ones with aspartame will increase your appetite and make you eat more. Diet Rite is made with splenda, so try that instead.

Lemonade has alot of sugar, so no lemonade. Unsweet tea or with fake sugar. Maybe diet soda. But water is best. Why 2 yrs?
