{Action for Libel: Olin R. Moyle v. F.W.Franz, et al, May 10 - May 27 1943, New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, sections 2596-7, 4420-1} [The testimony in the 1940 lawsuit is similar. N.H.Knorr was, and F.Franz later became, the President of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. So Jehovah God is the editor of the Watchtower since 1931, since which date the magazine cannot contain errors]

No one believes that Jehovah's Witness literature is infallible, or entirely free of errors.

Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they are infallible or inspired. Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they experience miraculous messages from God or Christ. For more than a century, Jehovah's Witnesses have always presented their suppositions as the result of sincere bible research, rather than as "predictions" or "prophesying".

Interestingly, however, even those Christians who did enjoy direct communication from heaven at times came to wrong conclusions; these wrong conclusions were even communicated "out among the brothers"!

For example, the apostle Peter enjoyed remarkable privileges in the early congregation, but it seems that he was the source of an incorrect teaching about the apostle John that was not formally corrected until several DECADES had passed, and John himself finally wrote his gospel about 98 C.E.

(John 21:21-23) Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what will this man do [that is, the apostle John]?” Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” In consequence, this saying went out among the brothers, that [the apostle John] would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?”

Like the early apostles, Jehovah's Witnesses work their best to preach God's message globally (as Noah did before the Deluge).

(2 Peter 2:5) Noah, a preacher of righteousness...

(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

According to your writing N.H. Knorr states they never claimed infallibility. And then you write the that the lawyer asks, that they don't make any such statement in their Watch Tower papers. Tell me, what paper or magazine claims on their literature that it is infallible? None to my knowledge.

I like the Jehovah's Witnesses I've met. I don't know why people make such a big deal about a religion that doesn't do anything to hurt others. What's the worse they do, wake you up when you're sound asleep on a Saturday morning? I'd rather live with that than to know they're threatening to bomb my place of employment.

The point of your question is unclear. The publishers of The Watchtower do not claim infallibility, as Brother Knorr stated in the above paragraph.

What's your point? The Watchtower has never claimed infallibility. I'm a Witness, and I know that. Of course we will make mistakes in interpretation from time to time.(Although these mis-interpretations have been few and far between.) That doesn't mean Jehovah makes mistakes.

We are imperfect people trying to accomplish a perfect assignment.

When Jehovah's Witnesses admit mistakes we are branded as False Prophets.

When I asked a 'Biblical Christian' (his description of himself)

Why I should believe his form of bible interpretation and not those of others. (Reference was to the trinity)

His answer was that the confusion among Christians is proof of their having the truth.

Yet confusion is proof of Satan's influence.

None of Jehovah's Witnesses teach divine inspired teachings except by those in the bible.

You must be in a real panic over the affect that the showing of Knocking by PBS had on people last week.

Old news, past errors. Witnesses are learning and evolving ever closer to Christ. Too bad other religions don't do the same.

of course Jehovah Witnesses are imperfect and make mistakes. Jehovah helps us to understand what was wrong and we see it clearer.
