The bird is probably scared of the unknown environment and clinging to what it knows. Leave the cage door open and do not try and speed up the process of the bird leaving the cage. Act naturally, watch TV or something, and the courage to move will build up.

Of course if its laying an egg, it just won't budge :P

If you own a snooker queue, slowly put it into the cage, and just wait, and bird will eventually use it as a perch. If you move it very slowly, the bird will probably allow you to move it out of the cage. after a few days of this, present your finger in the same way as you did the snooker queue, no sudden movements. And it will recognise your finger as a place to sit. (this is how I did it with my bird)

Unless you are trying to breed this bird, REMOVE THE NEST.

NESTS ARE FOR BREEDING ONLY, birds DO NOT need a nest to sleep in. They will sleep on a perch in the cage, or like my birds, on their food dish.

um protected in her nest shes nervouse and you just need to socialize 1 a day or more like( talk stick finger in or giv snack)

That just might be a favorite spot of hers, or she isnt comfortable in her new surroundings and needs some time to get used to it, hope this helps.
