don't you think if there is a god that humanity really deserves to know or be a part of him.

we are such an insignificant part of the universe that its easy to con ourselvees that we're that important, in the scheme of things.

if there was a higher being surely he would have better things to do.

just remind me of futurama when bender floats off into space and gets lost. he finds god, and tells him where he's from and about earth and god says oh and where's that then never heard of it....lol

Wouldn't the better question be is humanity wasted on god? It is disturbing to know that there was a time people couldn't go out their little hovels without waiting for a sign that they felt was from god. It is disturbing that some people choose to use a book that is meant to bring forth peace and understanding as an instruction manual for hate, self hate, self destruction and destruction. It is sad that a book has so much power over lives but not enough power to do any real good. Only we as people can do the real good and some of them are too darn scared to try and speak up for the truth and what is right.

You don't know the Lord thy God very well, apparently. Our God is a greatly loving being. He created humans out of mercy to share our love together in an everlasting paradise, this he offers us freely out of love, only on the request to accept his Son, Jesus Christ. And we ARE part of God, we were "created in his image", and we can spend ETERNITY with him if we just choose so. This entire mortal world is pointless, all is perishable, will not last forever, all is done in evil and vanity; grasping for the wind. Let us turn are mind to heavenly things and not earthly things, to work for things that will last forever. Love is the only thing you can take with you into Heaven, start building that with your family and friends, but if you can, everyone ("Love thy neighbor as thyself.")

It appears that God doesn't think so. He could have just wiped out humanity long ago. And how an omniscient God could not know of us, well....

There is no god, all these Christian lunatics are so diluted and need some comfort of knowing that they will die and go to a "better place" its all just BS, just accept the fact that when you die....thats it, nothing more.

We are unworthy. That is what humbles us. Why would the perfect creator choose to love us? To redeem us? To die so that we might be saved? That alone should draw all to God.

Maybe there *is* a higher being and he *does* have better things to do.
