The words " in God us trust " doesn't prove the existance of God. It only proves that some of the founders of our country were religious believers.
The "under God" in the pledge is a johnny-come-lately. It was put in during World War Two. It was the Idea of Eisenhower who never went to any church until he campaigned for the big job. That doesn't proove anything about God.
There, I answered it. haha

Man, your ignorance is unbelievable. You must be a troll because no one is this stupid.
The legislative history of the 1954 act stated that the hope was to "acknowledge the dependence of our people and our Government upon … the Creator … [and] deny the atheistic and materialistic concept of communism." In signing the bill on June 14, 1954, Flag Day, Eisenhower delighted in the fact that from then on, "millions of our schoolchildren will daily proclaim in every city and town … the dedication of our nation and our people to the Almighty." That the nation, constitutionally speaking, was in fact dedicated to the opposite proposition seemed to escape the president.
The Congress passed the Act of April 22, 1864. This legislation changed the composition of the one-cent coin and authorized the minting of the two-cent coin. The Mint Director was directed to develop the designs for these coins for final approval of the Secretary. IN GOD WE TRUST first appeared on the 1864 two-cent coin.
Another Act of Congress passed on March 3, 1865. It allowed the Mint Director, with the Secretary's approval, to place the motto on all gold and silver coins that "shall admit the inscription thereon." Under the Act, the motto was placed on the gold double-eagle coin, the gold eagle coin, and the gold half-eagle coin. It was also placed on the silver dollar coin, the half-dollar coin and the quarter-dollar coin, and on the nickel three-cent coin beginning in 1866. Later, Congress passed the Coinage Act of February 12, 1873. It also said that the Secretary "may cause the motto IN GOD WE TRUST to be inscribed on such coins as shall admit of such motto."

"Under God" was added to the pledge of Allegince during the McCarthy Commie Witch Hunts. This was to seperate the US from the "Atheistic Commie Pinko Enemy". No other reason...Since the Commies were Atheists, and we were against the Commies, we had to show we were with God...
"In God We Trust" was added to the money to invoke the name of God to bless the Union as brother slaughtered brother during the Civil war...after all, the winner would be the one who had God on their side, blessing the killing.
This is only proof of the use of the word "God" as political manipulation in a propaganda war...nothing more. So Xian sounding, ain't it?

You really need to take a class in basic thinking skills. Just because it's written doesn't mean it's true and besides when that money was first made the people who decided on the design believed in god and america itself was founded on christian principles. but that does not make your god any more real then ancient greece being founded on greek principles makes zues real.

You're using a man-made object to prove the existence of god...WOW. So in other words, I could grab two 18-inch sinker spikes, cover them with pig blood, and claim that god exists because I have the spikes they drove through his hands? Makes about as much sense as your argument.
PS-Nothing you do will change the way I think, so why not try being a friend for once? Is that too much to ask?

You are missing the whole point with this fixation you seem to have with "proof". A relationship with God starts with Faith in Him.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I am a Christian and I do not want In God we trust put on our money. We are to place our faith in God that He will provide for us, and that does not need to be written anywhere but inside our hearts.
Since the "Love of Money is the root of all evil" why would you want to have In God we trust written on it?
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Our pledge should not be to any idyllic image and that includes the flag. I believe our flag is the most beautiful of all flags. But I do not have to pledge allegiance to it. My allegiance is to God Almighty and no on else.
Isaiah 2:8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
All the proof anyone needs regarding the Almighty God and His great power and existence is the relationship they have with Him through their own Faith. It can start out the size of a mustard seed.
Luke 17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
God bless you!

The motto was first placed on coins during the time of the civil war, in response to the growing religious sentiment expressed during that period. In 1955, Congress passed a bill to put this motto on all paper currency, probably in response to the cold war and anti-communist sentiments.
Therefore, the motto doesn't prove the existence of god; just that during certain times in our history, American citizens felt the need to be more vocal about their beliefs.

Oh, sweetie, I don't really think this is proof that God is real. Now, don't get me wrong; I'm on your side. I've been a Christian for almost all of my life (I'm 30), but just because God's name is spoken in the pledge and written on money doesn't PROVE He is real.
To me, His creation proves His existence.

It was put on the money during the MC Carther era to distinguish us from the communist. It's was a political move not a religious one. Just because it's on money doesn't mean god is real. Same reason on the pledge.

Is this a joke?
That's no proof that God exists. Believers had it put on there. Just because someone includes a phrase in writing somewhere it doesn't make it true. By your reasoning, if I write down the words, "God doesn't exist", then it makes it true.
