I don't. Buddhism Doesn't seek converts, seekers seek Buddhism. I justify my religious philosophy to myself through meditation and a constant strive for insights in everything I do. I'm a Tibetan Buddhist.

I think holding unfounded beliefs that you can't justify - in religion, in business, etc - is a sign of someone who hasn't really put any thought into what they think or why they think it. And people define you based on your opinions.

I don't believe in god because I can't justify a belief in god.

Because people who cannot justify their beliefs and answer 'ask our pastor or minister' do not know what faith is...to be able to justify your beliefs is in a way showing the truth in it.

My beliefs are those of my ancient Northern European ancestors, and therefore, my cultural and genetic birthright. I don't need anything beyond a look in the mirror to justify them.

I don't need to justify my beliefs unless I am forcing them on others. as long as they are mine who would I justify then to? Myself?!

You don't have to. That is, until the moment you feel the need to force others to comply with your beliefs through legislation or coercion.

At that point, you'd better have a damn good reason why.

Then don't.
However, if you are convinced that your belief pattern is the best way to go, you may want to share it with others.
Not justify .....share.

I never justify myself. I am saved by grace. That's all.

In religion, I don't see why anyone should have to justify themselves. your beliefs are personal and belong to you. :)

In Christianity however, because we feel the love of God in everything, and do not deserve salvation but yet have gained it by grace, we are compelled to share that good news.
I don't justify myself - I'm a sinner plain and simple, saved by grace and endeavouring to live for Him.

blessings :)
