Aw sweetheart,
God likes/loves everyone! He doesn't judge you cuz you listen to Beyonce or whatever you listen to. I mean obviously if you listen to music cussing God he will be dissipointed but not like " I hate her cuz she listens to that" I know the feeling, about not feeling God. Thats the Holy Spirit convicting your heart. Don't push away. And the thing is, God has already spoken to your heart about what's hindering u from having a good relationship with Him...don't ignore Him. U may not agree or want to change, but God is trying to move you in a direction, that beyonce is just pulling u the other way. Tell me, what uplifting thing has she done for you that beats the wonderful things that your Father Almighty has done? Is she bringing you closer to your Savior in any way, with her lyrics? Just ask yourself those questions because God wants to be more to you than beyonce or anybody else could ever be. Yield to the Holy Spirit.
But God is ALWAYS with you. Whatever u do, whereever u go. His Word says that "he will never leave u nor forsake u." Keep praying to Him tho. I feel that sometimes, but I know that God would never shun me, because I am His child.

Our emotions are funny things. We can wake up one day and feel like doing something that the day before we had no desire to do. We cannot base our faith on emotions or our faith will be a funny thing as well. Rather than worrying about what you FEEL and basing things on that, base things on the truth. The TRUTH is that you are a child of God. The truth is that nothing can seperate you from the love of God. The truth is that God loves you with an everlasting love. The truth is that God has great plans for you. Concentrate on the truth, and speak that truth out loud. It takes on such a great power when you realize that the words you are speaking were the words that God meant for you to hear. Read Romans 8 aloud. I promise you God will reveal His love to you through that chapter.
Also, remember, that there are times that God DOES seem far because we are going through what is called spiritual winter. It doesn't mean you are a bad Christian or a bad person. It simply means that you are in a valley spiritually. Keep strong and lean upon God. Do NOT rely on your emotions to judge God's truth that he already gave to you. He LOVES you. That is the truth. Focus upon that and build your life upon that truth.

for one, god can be neither far nor close, because god is always it. if you feel as though god is far away, then sit with him for a while, and meditate. god will not judge you for the music you listen to, though you may be judged for who you are whilst listening to the music, or possibly the reason behind listening to the music. .
maybe god is using that music to speak to you. maybe its actuallly not the music, but instead the fact that when you are scared or feel down you go to the music rather then him.
it is god, and it is god and you, so nobody can tell you what to do, everybody has to find their own ways, and if everybody would just keep silent and keep their ways to themselves, people wouldnt get confused by believing there is only one way, which there is not.
my advice to you is to start writing, especially when you feel these thoughts, because maybe god will speak through you and write what you need to hear. also i would suggest some time in meditation. somebody once said that prayer is the asking and meditation is the recieving, i forgot who though.

I went for 11 months one time that God wouldn't speak to me. When He finally did, all He said was " You need to learn some things ". That carried me for 20 years ! There are many reasons God don't talk to some : something you did, something you didn't do, or just a test of Faith. Don't give up !!! TRUST Him.

Then you have to decide between the two.
It is not that he doesn't like you, he wants you to listen to him and let him direct your life..
