We want a Land Rover Range Rover.Gas mileage can't be horible (5 to 10 mpg). We do want an SUV. We have test driven one and love it (Range Rover). Is there a better car than that? We also need room witch that car has. A Porsche Cayenne has no leg room for the second row for my freshman in high school. We also need a pretty big trunk to put in lacrosse bags and hockey bags for my kids. We want also a car that is reliable and that is dependable for long trips. This vehicle needs to be under $100,000.

For 100k you can pretty much buy any SUV you want. The range rover is the Ultimate luxury SUV. I would say go for the Infiniti QX56. Its HUGE! and its beautiful and also its a nissan so you know you will be able to drive it for ever! If you want something american go for the Escalade or the Navigator.

Hope this helps....with the extra money you save from buying an SUV under 100k you can buy me a car if you want....just throwing that out there.

I know alot of people out there seem to think 'bigger is better' nowadays when it comes to SUVs, but it is simply not the case. Usually, the biggest and most luxury SUVs out there have bad customer reviews - why? Because they are bad on gas, are expensive to repair, and all the electronics in them can break easily. These types of SUVs have the worst customer satisfaction, do your research.

If you still want something big - but don't want to have the problems I mentioned above - how about a Chevy Suburbon?

Range Rovers are WAY to overpriced, waste of money.

$100,000 (or anything close to it) is an absurd amount of money to be paying for a car unless you're Bill Gates or Warren Buffett (and even Buffett drives an old Lincoln Town Car, because he doesn't believe in spending excessive amounts of money on cars, period).

Range Rovers are built for off-roading. If you are using it strictly for commuting, you can easily find something better for much less money, even amongst other luxury brands. Lexus RX350, Acura MDX, Cadillac SRX or Escalade, the list goes on and on.

by survey of new SUV owners, land rover ranks absolutely last in customer satisfaction. May be bigger and not the image you're looking for, but go to a GMC dealership and sit in a Yukon Denali. Ten Times the comfort, room, power, and durability.
