Each 24g serving contains 17g of protein. How many should I be taking a day?? I'm looking to start boxing, and already do weights.

This is what I would recommend.

1 scoop EVERY morning....WHY? because Whey is a fast absorbing protein..consider your muscles a gas tank and protein as gasoline...When you wake up your muscles are running low on fuel, and you need to get some protein to them quick as possible. Egg Protein is also great for first thing in the morning.

2. Take one scoop pre workout, and one scoop post workout.

The rest of the protein you should be able to get from your regular diet, If not take another scoop with a snack later own in the day.

times to take a whey supp: immediately after a workout, when you're on the run and you need a quick protein meal, when you can't get all the protein you need from food sources. You really don't need any, though. It's not a magic supplement. Don't expect huge muscles once you're on it. I only take one after my workout.

edit: soy protein has controversial estrogenal effects. so i avoid it just to be safe. Whey also has a higher BV than soy.

I am a boxer too but unlike you I need to loose weight haha The key to it all is finding how many calories you use in a day this is called your maintenance level. By working out how many you use you can eat more to gain weight and eat less to loose weight this is the only sure fire way to accurately tailor your training. If its protein you are after there already is too much of it in most peoples diets the US RDA is 0.8 gram per kilogram (2.2 pounds) but there is no UK/EU RDA.

For calorie counting its not how much fat/carbs/protein you eat but how many calories you consume, just that fat contains more calories.

Protein contains 4 calories per gram
Carbohydrates contain 4 calories per gram
Fat contains 9 calories per gram
