The following is a quote from the website "Apologetics Press":
"Truth be told, dinosaurs and men did coexist as contemporaries. There is no other conclusion that respects the clear, compelling statements of the inspired Word of God."
If this is the case, why didn't the dinosaurs feast on mankind? I can understand the "everybody got along before Adam and Eve's fall" theory, but what about afterwards? Why isn't the scourge of the presence of huge, flesh-eating monsters described in the bible like famine, plagues, and death are? Maybe mankind wasn't the dinosaurs' favorite food source ... but it wouldn't have stopped carnivores from eating them if they were available. We see this demonstrated even today when humans come in uncontrolled contact with the carnivores of the wild.
I mean, honestly ... are there actually people out there who really think that man and dinosaurs coexisted, besides the ones who want to make a profit from it?

Whirling -- Sharks and man are not indigenous to the same area. Polar bears and man are not indigenous to the same area.
Of course carnivores and their prey exist together. That's part of nature. You fail to make a point.

Here is a link to the article written for Smithsonian Magazine -- which I believe we all can agree is a reputable source -- about the findings that Whirling is referring to. The article says that paleontologist Mary Schweitzer -- A CHRISTIAN -- diagrees with how the young earth creationists have misconstrued her findings to support their own beliefs.

I wish that they were required to have a giant sign up on the front entrance that says "The views expressed in this museum are shared by less than one tenth of a percent of biologists in the United States". It's unfair that they can advertise it as science when NOTHING in that museum is accepted by any decent scientist. People are going to go to that museum, and even if they don't believe that men and dinosaurs co-existed, they're going to come away with the impression that parts of the scientific community are actually debating about whether it's possible. It's NOT possible. There's NO debate. It's incredibly misleading.
To answer your question... I guess some people out there seriously do believe all the stuff in there, but as far as scientists are concerned, like I said, it's probably less than one percent.

18 years? What were you doing in math class? Try more like 31 years! You might pull that crap on somebody else but not me! Anyway, I'm only speculating here but I would imagine that given the type of guy that might ask you out, he's probably in prison right now or at the very least under house arrest and burried under so many restraining orders that he can't leave the sidewalk around his yard without violating his parole or something. Sure, give him a call, good luck with that!

I actually know one of these believers! A woman who was a few years ahead of me in school and is, by all accounts, an intelligent and well-educated woman. She was a teacher as well.
She told me that she truly believes the earth is only 6000 years old. Not only did man and dinosaurs coexist (peacefully!!! she said) but Noah had them on his ark (but as eggs because fully grown dinosaurs would be too heavy). She does believe carbon dating is accurate... but that the bones they are testing that are "millions" of years old were placed there by God to test our faith.
Yup, these believers do exist... and they truly believe their man-made facts. They must twist reality to fit their bible or else their entire belief system falls apart. Unfortunately, they don't realize they are twisting reality. Scary stuff.

The reason dinosaurs eating humans isn't described in the Bible is that dinosaurs edited the Bible.

I wish profit were the motive, but unfortunately these poor misguided souls truly believe that their own personal unauthoritative guesses regarding the meaning of scripture are infallible, even though they directly conflict not only with known scientific facts but also with the biblical interpretations of many other Christians. Who bestowed the gift of infallibility upon their own little band of fundamentalists is not very clear, but that is clearly the baseline from which they operate.
This is not a matter of science vs. the Bible, for millions of devout Christians fully accept the Bible without feeling any need to reject the plain facts of science. It is a matter of science vs. the unsubstantiated personal ideas of a specific fringe element of Christianity. It's really a shame that so many young impressionable minds will be exposed to this lunacy, but apparently intellectual child abuse is legal.

lions and bunny rabbits exists today on the same planet.... imagine that!!!!
lions and man exists today
sharks and man exist Today
polar bear and man exist today
their are dangerous animals today and people know how to avoid them and don't necessarily live in the same place
dinosaur and man in fact were created on the sixth day. There was a T Rex femur bone found in Montana about 4 years ago where there was red meat and squishy vein like things with blood cells... sure didn't look 65 million YO, one thing for sure those lil arms couldn't swim... it died encased in sandstone... died in a flood,, probably the big mama of all floods...the flood of Noah
the 65 million years is a little like the scene form the play "the Manchurian Candidate" where the wife who kept insisting there were a lottsa lottsa spies was pressed for a number looked at a bottle of ketchup and gave a number 57 !!!! (as in Heinz 57...) The 65 million years is a fairly loosy goosy number and dinos actually proliferated in the time before the flood where things lived much longer than today

Dinosaurs were like God's children and people were like Flintstone vitamins. Everybody know that children won't eat their vitamins willingly.
