She is influencing her mother and her husband and her children who are 1 and 12. I am concerned because her oldest boy and her husband don't like going to church. They are being dragged along and they dont want to. They even went for an 8 hour drive just to hear a pastor preach and I think its hipocritical of her to call herself a catholic and attend christian church. I think she should convert. For those people who tell me its not my bussines,it is because my family is very close and im afraid of what can happen and i think she will convert her non religious son for all the wrong reasons if she ever chooses to convert.

You're exactly on the point. She shouldn't be attending protestant churches while still claiming to be Catholic. What she SHOULD do is go to confession and get back to Mass.

Believe it or not, Christianity may have some answers for her that Catholicism does not address. She seems to be seeking more than what she's been getting in her own church. People do this all the time in all religions, because something in their spirit is not getting fed. I suggest you pray for her and her family. She takes her family with her because she probably feels strongly that family should worship together. If she continues and doesn't find what she needs, perhaps she will return to the Catholic church. Sounds like her motives are right and anyone who seeks God will be rewarded. I'd stay out of it unless you are very close to her, in which case I would talk to her and ask her why she's going other places and just slightly voice your concerns. Take the stand that you just want to understand. Keep it calm and don't be judge mental, but really try to find her side of the issue. Again, prayer is your best bet.

You should learn a little history. The Catholic Church is the oldest Christian church, tracing its existence right back to Peter. The Protestant churches (which is what I assume you meant by Christian) are branches from the Catholic church. In the 1500's a Catholic monk named Martin Luther began attacking the Catholic church and convinced many people in Europe to break away and start their own churchs. Shortly after King Henry VIII, in order to procure a divorce, started the Anglican church. This is why the oldest Protestant churches are around 400 years old, while the Catholic and Orthodox churches are around 2000 years old. So don't worry about your aunt, she is at least as Christian as anyone else in your family.

Best to pray about it and let God handle it. It is non of your affair. Being a Catholic and wondering to another church does not make one evil. It gives you a variety of learning possibilities. As long as she does not convert , she is still Catholic and that should be fine with the church. The Catholic church does have strict rules and especially about New Age teachings. On the part about the children being dragged to church, it is a parents responsibility to share God with them and the teachings. She is really doing nothing wrong here.
Would you rather they have no teachings at all, perhaps let them wonder aimlessly and have no religion at all? The bible says when you bring up a child in the faith, they will not loose it when they are older. It does stick with you but you will not loose it, you will only choose to give it away later if you decide. but it is always there. It sinks in your memory banks.

Catholics are Christians. And good for her, if she's influencing her family. Yes, she's doing right.

Don't be araid of what can happen, if the family becomes church going Christians. It is a blessing. My family is much happier since we brought the church into our lives.

Well I believe that they all come from Judaism which has been passed down from generation to generation but they spread the wrong messages than what was the true message, and thats why we have Islam. So I say Islam is the best.

Spent years studying this, and I am a Muslim myself now.

Catholics are Christians. They were the first Christians. She probably is going to a Pentecostal or Baptist church which is nothing wrong with that. Maybe she is looking for comfort that she can't find in her church and maybe she will convert.

These people are adults, first of all. Secondly, if these people didn't want to go, I am sure they would tell them no. And your afraid of what will happen to them?? Nothing bad will happen to them, if their going with the intent of praying and being close to God. Unless this is a cult thing, then you should be worried, until then don't worry.

Leave her alone!......She's probably getting the real truth! Lies and deceptions have no power over those who are called by God to become His true saints in this earth age. God is calling out His "first fruits" to become part of His Family for the Millennium reign of Christ. This is something she must do if she has been called by God........If you don't have clue what I'm talking about, maybe this will enlighten you to God's truth...... http://www.ucg.org/booklets/GK/

Your dissertation makes me wonder how crazy this world has to get before Jesus returns. There are too many Roman Catholics saying that they are Christian. They get criticized for going to a Roman Catholic Church, and then they get critcized for going to a different one.

Say dude. Why don't you leave her the f' alone.
