pineapple is very good for cleaning the inside of your mouth and tongue did you know???

We use fresh pineapple juice to flush tubing of peg feeds if they block...works wonders!

If you suspect you may have an oral thrush infection (yeast) pineapple can sometimes help relieve it. The thing about a thrush infection is that it can create sores in your mouth. Maybe the pineapple is causing these sores to become tender. If you have a white coating on your tongue, it's a pretty safe bet it is thrush.

Hee hee. . . when I went to Hawaii on vacation back in 1978, we toured the Dole Pineapple Factory and there was pineapple juice coming out of the drinking fountain, and free samples of fresh pineapple at the end of the tour. I had so much and my tongue felt the same way! Must be the high acidity.

because its acidic, not as much as a lemon but if eaten in high quantities will make the tongue sore..... lay off it for a while, or maybe you have some sores of cuts on ur tongue?

It is very acidic. If you eat alot of it it will make your whole mouth sore. It's not an allergic reaction, as you would have has other symptoms of anaphylaxis like trouble breathing, and hives.

the pineapple is a very acidic fruit and salt is the solution.
if salt sore to then wash it into cold water then eat it.

It's from the natural acids/vitamin C, refridgerating it makes it lose the some of the acidity, just wrap it well in plastic to keep it fresh.
