For a job with Vector, you will have to buy a display of all of the products you are selling, usually knives. You will then go door to door, attempting to sell these extremely expensive knives to people. You will get a commission, should you sell anything. It's really quite a scam. They will hire anyone, because everyone will have to buy the knife set from them, and the vast majority of sellers won't make enough money to even make up for it. Not only that, but no one wants to buy anything from door to door salesmen anymore. Please reconsider, and get a job in retail instead where you can improve your customer service skills to start a good sales career.

They will want to know that you are able to approach strangers again and again to describe what you are selling, overcome their objections (price, they like the one they are using now etc) and make the sale. It's important to give examples of your persistence in the past and the fact that you can handle rejection and manage your time well. Let them know that you know it's a numbers game, the more people you talk to the more people will buy the knives especially in the beginning. Tell them you are money motivated. That you will treat people so well and follow thru on the paper work etc to keep customers satisfied and generate referrals.

What qualifications are you bringing to the table? What's your education background and work history? These are some of the things they'll take into consideration, I'm sure. The more you have to offer the more likely you'll be considered for the position. Good luck.
