I've got the same thing, as do millions of other unfortunates. It doesn't go away when you're indoors because the outside irritants get in. You may want to ask an allergy doctor about getting a KENALOG shot twice a year. It's a steroid, so they don't like to give it- certainly not more than a couple times a year- and it's really not advertised at all. I get one every Spring soon after the symptoms appear and within 24 hours it's as if I never had an allergy at all! No more sneezing, sniffling, itching, tickly throat/ears, stc. It's the absolute best thing I ever heard about and I've been getting them for about 8 years now. I only get one a year as my Fall allergies are tolerable. Good luck

Go to an allergist. You need to be checked for all things that you are allergic to. It is a long process and can be a bit annoying, but it helps. I went for allergy shots for 8 years just about every week. It is a steroid of some sort that helps to get rid of your allergies. It also builds up your ability to handle those certain things you are allergic to. Try a couple things around the house also. If you have pets (especially cats) you may want to think twice about keeping them or give them baths often. Get a new vacuum cleaner and change the bags often. Clean your carpet with a steam cleaner and make sure to move and get under all furniture. If you smoke - stop. Get an air purifier for home and keep it running and change the filter often. (Oreck are good names for vacuum cleaner and air purifier - look on ebay or craigslist). You may not be able to control the things outside your home that make you miserable, but if you can control the things at home, it makes life so much better. Try a humidifier also - this can help with the sinuses.

Spring - outside it's obviously the pollen. Inside, it's probably mold and mildew because of the wetter weather. Try something like Claritin D and a good saline nasal spray.
Fall - if it's before the first frost it's probably ragweed. If it's after the leaves start falling, leaf dust and mold. See the above fixes.
If the indoors is bothering you as much as the outside and the weather is wet or humid, you might try a dehumidifier. An air purifier can be helpful as well.
From a lifelong allergy sufferer. I have allergies for EVERY season.

I also recommend the Kenalog shot. I've tried virtually every prescription and over the counter medication and nothing works to take away my allergies. I could handle a runny nose all summer long but my terrible part is my eyes. They itch so badly I feel like I could scratch them out of my head! And I know I shouldn't scratch them, but they are just soooo bad. The only thing that I have found that works is the Kenalog shot. As the other person mentioned, doctor's don't really like to give them because it's a steroid, but just go to another doctor until you find one that will give it to you. One shot lasts for the entire summer for me and it completely takes away every allergy symptom. Your doctor will probably advise you that the steroid is not good for your bones long term. It makes your bones weaker as you get older, but that problem can be treated as well. For me, it's really the only option I have. I get my one shot a year in May and follow it up with calcium pills daily, as recommended by my allergist. That should help to prevent future bone problems.

I totally know what you mean! I used to get the same thing and it really slows things down. I'm a triathlete and when the allergies get really bad, i can't do anything.
I've been on this all-natural herbal stuff called Nutrilite ClearGuard and it's SOOOO good! You can buy it online for about $22 and it lasts about a month. Go to www.summitventures.wwdb.biz. I think the access code is "summit". If you live in the States, i think it's "summitusa". There's a money back guarantee if the stuff doesn't work for you but I swear this stuff is totally awesome.
hope this helps you!

Sounds like you need a couple of things: See your doctor and get a prescription. They may give you some pills and perhaps prescription nasal spray and eye drops. I use all of the above and get allergy shots as well and I still have spring and fall allergies, but not nearly as bad as when I wasn't on these things. Also ask about allergy testing. There may be something specific bothering you. Dust, mold, pollens, etc. Good luck to you! I can sympathize!

My suggestion would be that you go to an allergist. I had the same problem and did not do anything about it for awhile. Eventually I went to an allergist and discovered I was allergic to animals and dust. My doctor put me on Nasonex and Zyrtec and I have been much better ever since! But if you don't want to go to the doctors you can always try over the counter medicine like claritin. Good luck!

I would suggest going to your doctor for a prescription allergy medication like Claritin, Allegra, or Zyrtec. I have really terrible allergies too and these medications have all worked. Secondly, I recommend giving your house a very thorough cleaning (ie. vacuuming, dusting etc.) I would wear a mask while cleaning just so you don't breathe in any extra allergens either. Good Luck!

I use to have the same problam. Do your allergies start up just as people start useing A.C.s or start useing thier heaters. If yes then I think you have dust/dust mite allergies. Try going to your doctor.
