Nope. How old is your child? Why won't you take your child with you?

Homosexuality has nothing to do with the decision of letting someone watch your children. Unless you're homophobic, of course.
The things you should look for in a caregiver/babysitter are patience, fairness, the ability to handle your child & follow the rules and boundaries you have set, among other things.
If it's someone you know personally - are friends with & trust with your child, then I don't know why you would question them at all.
And if you're that uncomfortable, then just ask someone else to watch your child. Hope this helps

sure. what does sexual orientation have to do with being a good sitter?
(I can say personally that the gay people I know aren't mature enough or strong enough to handle a kid for a whole week. I'll come home and they will have had a nervous breakdown. I do have some bisexual friends who have children themselves and/or enough experience that they could handle an ankle-biter for a week)

I would judge them on watching my child just as any straight person. Being homosexual wouldnt influence my decision at all.
I would only ever leave my children for long periods of time with family members but they are both still quite young.

Yeah What does it matter their sexual orientation? Whoever you use to babysit your child be it a homosexual couple, its grandparents, or a strait couple you should trust them not to scar your child for life, to take good care of/and protect your child.

If they were responsible and my kids were very familiar with them, of course yes. Being a homosexual does not make someone a pedophile, nor will their 'gayness' rub off on your kids. Their sexual orientation shouldn't really even be a factor in the decision!

I agree if they were responsible loving people and I knew and trusted them, their sexual preference would not come into play and I would be on holiday knowing my child was being loved, safe and well cared for. God Bless.

If i knew them extremely well, for a long time and trusted them yes i would. Just because someone is homosexual doesn't mean that they are a pedophile.

First, I can't even imagine going on vacation without taking my son, so that wouldn't even be an option. But if I just absolutely HAD to leave him with a babysitters, who cares what their sexual orientation is??

Why would it matter if the people watching your child are homosexual or heterosexual? You're not pimping your child out while you're on vacation in Mexico, are you???
