Businesses often use that symbol to give the impression it is Christian owned in order to bring in religious clientel. It means nothing in regard to whether the owners are or are not Christian. It is merely a ploy to increase traffic to their establishment because their product does not generate positive word-of-mouth (which is the key to successful business).

I go to restaurants because of the quality of the food, the customer service and the price. It makes no difference to me if the restaurant is run by Christians. Did you know that the In 'N Out Burger hamburger chain in California is Christian owned? I went there long before I knew that because their food is simple, reasonably priced and very tasty. Their customer service is also very good. Having a fish symbol on a window doesn't guarantee good foor or good service. Christians can be terrible cooks and provide terrible customer service, same as anyone else. I'll give any place a try. If they screw up, I might give them one more chance unless their food or service was outright terrible. Screw up twice and I will never go back.
As for me as a Christian, I am a terrible cook but I do always try to provide excellent customer service in any job I have held.

The funny thing is, there is a religious symbol that lets you know that the food will be good, or at least better. Ask for the kosher meal on flights and be astounded by airline food that does not entirely suck.
I work at a grocery store; there's a brand of eggs with the fish symbol prominently displayed on the box. I always think, "That's some big caviar."

I've never seen the fish symbol on any building at all; if I did ever see it on a restaurant, I'd give the place a try. If the food or service was terrible I wouldn't go back. Don't forget that even if the owner is a Christian, the cooks or waitstaff may not be.

Yeah okay, Fish symbol, never seen it.
What country is this in? I never would have associated the fish symbol with christianity if I had seen it on a restaurant door.
I don't look for religious symbols outside of religious context. I mean in a church I would make the natural association, but outside of church, I would not even be thinking along religious affiliation signs and signals.

First, I don't know of any restaurants that have an ichytus symbol hanging in their business. Second, even if they did, that doesn't mean they are Christian. They just might find it beneficial to their business to pretend they are since a lot of Christians might misplace their trust in them (seeing as they seem to be fellow Christians). Third, I don't know of any Christians whose cooking skills were miraculously improved by becoming Christians (mine certainly weren't). So it is possible to be a true Christian and still be a bad cook.

No- being Christian or any religion has nothing to do with their customer service or how good they cook their food. I honestly have never seen a restaurant with any indication that they are Christian if the restaurant was not very good- I wouldn't put that against them, I just won't go there anymore.

In my particular area, more often than not, I find the East Indian, Chinese, Lebanese and other Asian restaurants the most efficient with the best organization and service. Overall they tend to be more family run businesses.
You can be a good or bad business person no matter what your religion is.

LOL. I think the christian fish symbol displayed in commercial establishments is just some christians trying to fulfill Revelation prophecy of the mark of the beast....that no commerce will happen unless the mark of the beast is displayed.

The fish symbol in California is a health warning. It has something to do with Mercury poisoning.
