As a Christian preacher, writer and Evangelist I agree with you completely.

Not particularly. Do you understand how religion just divides people into categories of there belief systems? I don't think that is a way to a solution, which will never be resolved anyway, but most christian churches do accept all denominations, especially 10's and 20's, jk, but I know your right on the button about how it doesn't make you more of one simply by going to church, thats out world we live in.

Ok, the first dude who answer is the one who is uneducated. He's the one not seeing the bigger picture here. That burns me up when you ask a question and some wise guy comes along and makes a joke of it. As to your question no you don't have to go to church to be a Christian. It tells others you are a Christan and it shows your commitment to God, and also the bible says not to forsake the assembly, which means going to church. But just because your not there does not mean you are not a Christan, your walk with God is just as real at home. Church helps us to grow as Christians, and it helps us to stay on the right track and not sway, but your still a Christan regardless, maybe a Christan out of fellowship with other believers, but still a Christian.

I agree with you, there are many people who go to church every sunday, then dont give a hoot about anyone during the week! thats what put me off church completely. But then i discovered Jesus, being a christian is about following Jesus, a church is a group of people, who have one thing in common, their love for Jesus, it is wise to gather together with other christians, at least once a week, to edify each other, thats the church, not a great big building with beautiful windows, although lovely to look at, nothing without true believers inside.

1. I agree going to church doesn't make us Christian..
2. I don't believe i have to go to church to be a Christian..
I've had many awesome times in church, and I've had many awesome times at home in my living room..I've had many awesome times with the Lord in my car..there was a time when i needed church but i haven't needed to go that way for around 3 yrs...Jesus is still my Lord and i am still His..I'm still part of the body of Christ which operates from home..God is more than able to make the body operate wherever we are, not just in church..i think we need to give each-other a break here; church works for some but not all..there are disabled Christians who can't make it to sit in meetings for hours..also if we were imprisoned, how would our faith remain strong without church and without a bible...so maybe i've gone the long way round, but yes i agree with you..and God Bless you.. : x )
Added: this is church for some people!
and personally i find it a great way to do it...

Going to church does not make you a Christian. But Christians will go to church.
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
We need the fellow ship of other Christians to help us along. But most importantly we need to hear the Word of God.

No, I don't believe you have to go to church to be a Christian.
But it is a way of worship, learning, etc, etc.
The Church is God's house. We are his people, and we love him, so we go there for him. We, as believer's are the church. So, we really don't need a building. But, I am still grateful for church.
God Bless You.

We need the support and help of others, in prayer as well as in our Christian walk. Everyone has something to offer, and a serious Christian remains open and teachable. The body is supposed to be together, working together, praying together, helping each other--not each one off in their own little corner. I know I often turn to Christian friends for prayer support, advice or just friendly conversation. Besides, doing it all on your own can lead to some strange ways of thinking!
We're none of us perfect but we can all help each other on the Way.

No, not at all. I believe that being a Christian is based on having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not any "ritualistic behaviors." It is not defined by church attendance. I do, however think that fellowship with other believers strengthens your belief, because you can get advise and encouragement from them.

no....i think that we should fellowship with other Christians always... God must be foremost in our minds heart and soul.we are to edify or brothers and sisters in Christ, we can do this in church or out. The church is the body of Christ it is not a building .
