There is not a specific term. There are several different procedures that requires a placement of a tube. Intubation, catheter, naso-gastric tube, chest tube, tubes in the ears, peg tube for feeding, tracheostomy, hemovac tube, JP tube, etc...

Intubation, and David's example of orotracheal intubation is a good one. But the term is not popular in common usage for many procedures. For instance, you seldom here of nasogastric intubation. NG tube placement is much more common. And placement of a chest tube is usually called tube thoracostomy, emphasizing the surgical nature of the procedure. Medical terminology is a curious mixture, using Greek and Latin, lots of eponyms, and just plain habit/tradition. And there's also the fact that tubes are mostly catheters, so there are catheterizations galore.

Urethra has external and internal orifice ,between urinary bladder and ureter exist orifice too. In this orifices can be inserted a tube -catheter. On the other side placement tube can be done in children with Otitis media effusion, in trachea , in brain ventricles ( V-S shunt ), through nephrostoma,gastrostoma, laryngostoma...
but this structures have not orifices.
