I have a job in a factory that had illegals being brought in thru a temp agency. ICE checked their records and got 68 of them . They have been deported and now 68 citizens have a job. I have worked in the fields, cleaned houses and many other jobs they say we wont do.

I am currently an unemployed housekeeper(just lost my job because I don't speak spanish) and have done it for many years. I have worked fastfood as well as babysitting. I have been a dishwasher and I have mowed and cleaned many yards.
midcenturydesigner, not all of us can afford college or trade school. I am 35 and have been living on pretty much minimum wage since I was 16 when I first began working.
Right now I am trying to learn Medical billing on my own,no proper schooling( I am hoping I can find and understanding employer who will give me a chance) because in the state I live in, people like me are being replaced by illegals who don't speak English. I have a chronically ill child with $300.00 a month pharmacy bills. I support him on my own. There are people like me that this is affecting,i'm not the only one in the situation. If these people take our jobs where does that leave us?

I have. let's just say i've been paying social security and taxes since i was 14. Over 20 yrs now. In that time, ive also served this country, Start a small business( inc 500 wanted to list me as one of the fastest growing business between 2003 and 2006 however i turned it down). Attained my BS in electrical engineering (paid for it all out of my own pocket and didn't use my GI bill at all, which all individual service members pay so much for as well). Been named to the National Registers Who's Who of executives and professionals 4 yrs in a row. And still i took a bad hit this last year not through any type of lack of work, but my private information being compromised. And not by me either. try both the banks and our government losing it. not once or even twice, But 5 fvcking times. Yea i'm a ltl pissed off and tired. Oh and by the way. my complete credit line for the whole of my business was only $75,000. that's what? One quarter of most ppl's mortgages today? And the same banks i was doing business with were helping finance illegal immigration. LOL. Oh and did i also forget to mention the fact that out of the supposed 36 electrical contractors in the immediate area that i live that i am the only one that is a member of the Better Business Bureau? yea. oh also since i wouldn't conform to either a union standard nor using illegal immigrant standard my material cost are roughly 65% higher than that of my supposed competitors. And they think i don't know nor maybe i couldn't prove it if i did. Hopefully that answers some of your question. as far as doing jobs Americans won't do? I think its time we get rid of the republicans and democrats and vote in new blood. Also literally boycott any financial institutions supporting this supposed amnesty. that right there should tell you what it's really all about.

This argument is stupid and it's a slap in the face to all Americans- I was appalled when the President himself said it. Everybody looks at the US like it's a rich country, all the Citizens are educated and have good paying job, nobody suffers-and that is so not true. We have thousands of people in our own country that is starving, unemployed, and barely making ends meet. Our own country does not take care of us, because the wrong people get help and the right people don't. We need to enforce our current laws instead of wasting time and money passing another bill- we need to start working on programs to make sure that our own citizens are being taken care of, that our own poor, hungry, and homeless have jobs, food, and money-instead of worrying about people from other countries... the whole argument about jobs Americans won't do.. is just another ploy- the reason Americans don't do it, is because they aren't offered the job.. if someone hired Americans instead of illegals, they would have to offer health care, they would have to pay taxes, they would have to put into unemployment- they don't have to do that with illegals.. it's a win win situation.. it's not that Americans won't do it, it's that they aren't offered the jobs- why would a company pay that much money to employ an American when they can pocket more money paying an illegal

If I could make a suggestion....: How about we take all these people who consider the US as a 'Christian only' nation, and set them to one place, and all the other US citizens to another place. Then we shall see how things pan out, when they have none but their own to push down and condemn. They will see the balance and harmony between the United States, and the fear and loathing in their own Divided States. Cue an invasion in the name of God, despite it being un-biblical, and a long civil war, as the unhappy give in to their jealousy. Oh well...we tried. There is virtually nothing that can be done, but to weather their bitter tongues, and know only love for them. Religion is no factor in citizenship. In fact, Pagans have as much right to the Earth as Christians do. Pagans just show more appreciation for the right to Earth. ((((hugs)))) ~Loving Light~

this argument is so stupid. When i was a teenager, i worked along with several of my friends in the fast food and restaurant industry's. But then i worked hard, went to school, and worked my way up the ladder. The jobs the illegals have are the ones high school kids or people just starting out have, or people get for a second job to supplement their income. But the real reason illegals take them is because they will do the work for nearly no money. This is sad.. it is exploitation of an entire race.. i don't understand how people can say this is a good thing. Not only are they ruining the structure of our country, but are being exploited as well!! go figure!!

I have done MANY jobs that are considered the jobs Americans wont do. One of the first ones was when I was 13 I washed dishes for a little extra money....washed dishes at college too. I have also been a CNA and worked in nursing homes taking care of the elderly.
We are NOW cutting our OWN grass and are doing our OWN remodeling of our home...as well as taking care of our own kids.

I babysat for rich people so that I could be home more with my own little ones. $2.00 an hour! but I never had a problem getting a job, and eventually people saw I was worth more and paid me more. I am now employed out side my home, working in the school system, as my kids are in school. My former employers LOVED that I spoke ENGLISH!! ha ha ha

GIDGET.
So why didn't you tell us before when you asked your question. THIS is why you support illegal aliens. So they can cook our seafood...and because one gave a lady a free ice cream cone.
I'm sure all those people that had relatives and friends killed by illegal aliens feel SO MUCH BETTER NOW that responded to your question that you TOTALLY IGNORED!!
How do you sleep at night, feeling you are encouraging these criminals by giving them your blind support????
You have your blinders on and in your small little world all you see is what you WANT to see. How many examples would it take to change your mind?? 20,000??
Or does an ice cream cone or some fresh seafood erase all bad thoughts from your mind?

Let's see. Now I manage a beautiful facility however, in my younger years I worked as a waitress, I have picked turnips, I have delivered pizza, I, still today clean toilets if they need to be cleaned and I make beds.
Right now I am fortunate to have the job I have, but there was a time, raising 3 children by myself , I had to have several odd jobs to make things work.
I never thought of them as jobs Americans wouldn't do. That is funny. They are jobs rich Americans won't do. IT is fine with me if the immigrants can find work and be happy. The lie is that they are doing jobs Americans won't do. I will....
The difference between a good liberal American is that we wouldn't smash them into the ground and we would assist them. I'm concerned that some of them do not take into consideration how hard we have worked to build for ourselves. I think they have to give also. We don't owe them and they have to realize the corporate owe them.
I'm the youngest of 12, my father died when I was 4, mom told all of us...the world doesn't owe you anything. We can only hope the people that surround you are good. We grew up knowing that people have to help each other. It has to go both ways.
At one time when I was in college, I mowed lawn in a cemetery and gardened around the head stones. I don't think there are jobs that assertive Americans won't do.
The government always has to have someone to blame to get their agenda accomplished. It reminds me of the Battered wife syndrome....It is the wifes fault the husband beats her.

Of course we do those types of jobs....Like when we were in high school or working through college, even between jobs, trying to earn some extra money....But most of us are able to graduate from college, or some trade school, where we are able to make more than minimum wage....These people remain in these jobs permanently.....What American can live on minimum wage, cleaning toilets? NO ONE....Its a permanent underclass and until we address these businesses, who keep wages down in this country for a bigger profit in there pockets, it will NEVER change....Illegals will always come, because there is a BIG market for cheap labor in this country....
