Northern Australia is in the middle of the dry season. It is warm to hot from Broome to Cairns with little or no rain. Inland nights can be cool and it can even get frosty in the mornings well inland.

Central Australia is usually mild to warm and dry but it can get cold at night so take some woollies if you are going to Alice Springs.

Southern Australia is under the influence of the westerlies so Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne are getting their wet seasons. It can be cold wet and windy there. Sydney is usually dry and mild to warm as is Brisbane although Brisbane is a little warmer than Sydney. It can be cool to cold at night.
