It depends what the event is but for just down home food, nothing fancy or whatnot I like little smokies. I use a package of little smokies, a pound of bacon...cut in 1/3's, and brown sugar. Take a piece of the bacon strip and dip it in brown sugar then wrap a smokie in it and secure with a tooth pick. The pound of bacon nearly does one pack of weiners, may have a piece of one or the other leftover. Bake on a foil lined baking sheet at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. They have great flavor and are wonderful hot or cooled.

If the Menu is basically American Food I would have to say potato skins, and cheese fries. If the menu is Mexican I would have to go with small chicken quesidalles, you can buy them in your grocers frozen section and then and cut them up.

Chicken Quesadillas.. but I usually eat it for my meal. 2nd favorite is mini meatballs with BBQ sauce on them. YUMMY!!
