Its techniqually the uvula, but I always call it "that dangly thing in the back of my throat" lol

it is asserted as a Palatine Uvula. it is to regulate air-flow. The Epiglottis is a flap at the back of your throat over the larynx that prevents liquid going on your windpipe once you swallow.

it's called an uvula, and is often mistaken for the pallette, which it is not. it is used to catch any dirt or dust particles entering your mouth, so they can't go down into your body. hope this helps!
