I just seem not to like anyone. Cause if i think i like someone, once i get to know them i don't want to go out with them anymore. I hate being so lonely. Should i just give everyone a chance? I think i just have way too high standards,, like movie star like. There is this guy I think i might like, i dont know. But i know he likes me. Should i ask him out, and just see what its like having a boyfriend?

instead of asking him out to see what its like to have a boyfriend, why not ask him out to see what he is like as a person, friend, or date? Build a friendship first and then go from there. I dont think you should just give everyone and anyone a chance, but, i do think that going out on dates with other guys will help you to see what exactly are your standards so you can figure out if they are realistic.

Going out once doesn't make him your boyfriend. Dating doesn't make him your boyfriend. When you and he sit down and talk about how you don't want each other to see other people and that you want to just be together, that makes him your boyfriend.

Why do you kids always want to jump into a relationship? Dating is supposed to be fun and it's a good way to get to know various people before you commit. Then again I guess when you sleep around without a commitment you have to grasp at any straw you can.

I was going through this same thing for years, and I finally said yes to a guy that approached me with something intelligent, things that interest me. This made it easier for me to see what he was all about. There is nothing wrong with being a little picky, but don't base your decision on what they look like, wait until they say something, when you find one that says something you like, then go for it. Time is precious, don't waste it on losers.

Dating is "normal". Sounds like you have low self-esteem and likely had a unpleasant childhood. You may wish to try counseling.

it's not like you can help who you like. don't force yourself to do anything. if u like him, and he likes you it's worth a shot. but if your not interested in that person you will get the wrong perception on what a good relationship can be like.
