Hard to say for sure, you didn't mention the year or the model. The best thing would be to just ask the owner if he would like to sell it and how much he would take for it. Mention that you want to restore it, and bring it back to like new condition. If the owner has any fond memories of the car, he may like the idea of it being fixed up and would give it to you at a decent price. In fact, he may even give it to you. good luck.

It would take a whole lot to get it running, make sure the floors and frames are intact and not rusted through. It will need all new brakes and fuel system including a tank.

Don't bother with it. Dry rot is the worst enemy of metal. the front sub frames on these cars are prone to rotting away when left sitting around and are unsafe to put back into use.

what you need is an old car price guide. dont use kelly blue book or nada. a classic car price guide breaks it dont into 5 classes. class 1 being a pristine resto to 5 being a parts car. kbb and nada just have 3 classes. from what you described i would say around 2500-3500
