I need a good beer (preferably not coors, bud, miller, etc...) that comes in cans. I'm going on a boat and need to bring beer, but they've asked me not to bring glass bottles, since its a real pain if it breaks on the boat!!!
Thanks!!!

"Good" beer is subjective, but it looks like you're looking for something non-standard from an American standpoint. I think Heineken comes in cans, and lots of people like that. I like Beck's, and it comes in a can. Both are nice light/crisp beers, good for the summer. If you want something heavier, get some ale or a stout like Guinness. I guess the thing to do is go to the store near you that has the largest beer section and look around. Try to get it at a store where there's a good turnover of beer, not just Bud - old beer of any kind can get nasty.

If you are gonna be out in a boat, probably under the sun all day, a lighter beer would be preferable, so guiness/stouts would be out. but you don't want a light beer, so, I'd try to stick with a pilsner or a lighter lager, labatt blue or fosters both are good for days on the lake, but stick with what you like, and it true, heinnekan is enjoyed by most everyone.

It's not always available, but from time to time you can find Newcastle in cans. You won't find it at asupermarket, but a reasonably large liquor store or "Beverages and More" are the places to look. A trip to Trader Joes will always turn up a canned beer you've never heard of... i've had mixed luck with this stuff, sometimes good, sometimes REALLY bad. Enjoy your trip, and keep the smilin' side up!

I would highly recommend Heineken, plus they come in cool looking cans. I've found Heineken to be the best "middle-of-the-ground" beer for people's varying taste. A nice cold Heineken is very refreshing on a hot day. Have fun on the boat.

Modelo Especial it is a good beer that is relative inexpensive. I pay between 8.99-9.99 for a 12 pack in cans.

The best out there is Sol(Mexican beer) Alas, it is sold only in bottles
