by reusing resources, less trees would be knocked down because you can recycle paper

Recycling helps to reduce trash that gets dumped in landfills everyday. It helps keep Earth spacious and a bit more free from the field of endless waste humans produce. It helps reduce the need to destroy natural resources such as the trees of the tropical rainforest. Recycling reduces carbon emissions that are emitted every time a tree is cut down. Carbon is linked to global warming, which is linked to a rise in temperatures and rising sea levels. Recycling also helps the economy as companies do not have to spend dollars on harvesting resources to make their products. Recycling ensures that a world will still exist for furure generations.

When recycling we don't have to use the precious resources in the earth. We can use what we already have above. Don't keep on digging to find more when we have more than enough above. Recycling also helps to elimate waste worldwide. If you look at plastic bottles one not recycled and one recycled can you tell the difference (i don't). Also when they digging for resources they replace the hole with waste from other trash all together. Why should we put stuff in the earth that is not meant to be their.

This one's easy, you're taking something used and making it new again.

Take a can for example, you drink it, toss it in the trash, it goes to a landfill, end of it's life, it gets buried, new metal has to be used to make it. Take another can, drink it, toss it in recycling, it gets melted and the metal is reused, no new metal needed, it gets a new life.

The same goes for glass bottles, plastics, and paper, you need less of the original product. Plus certain things like plastic and metals are already processed, so they require less steps to just get melted to be reused than it takes to make the material new.

Plus if you put plastics in the garbage they leech out nasty chemicals, which are generally unhealthy, and some take hundreds of years to decompose, that's a long time.

So this one's a no brainer, you need less and use less if you recycle. The less you need and use, the more resources are left. If you think of resources as their cash value, you're getting money back by recycling, and keeping money invested, instead of just throwing it in the trash.

is this question for real? everytime someone asks a question it takes five points away from their account so i would seriously consider people only ask important question that arent common knowledge. obviously recycling allows products to be reused 20 times over or more, it reduces the amount of plastic, paper and aluminun needed to be constantly manufactured and also conserve natural resources. recycling also allows for trash to stay out of landfills and be reused for common purposes. i think you already know that recycling had positive benefits but anyway there you go.

Freecycle is connected all over the world and I just heard that all our e mail addresses are scattered all over the world, no wonder we get so much spam e mail.
Everyone should start a small recycle for their own area and keep it as such. I was just told this one originated out of Tucson, Arizona. If you type in freecycle, Tucson Arizona you will read a big write up on it and all that has happened.

what recycling does
Recycling will help clean our world and make it a better and safer place to live in. If we all play our part, our world would be a clean place to live in, and also it would be an enjoyable place because we would have more activities to do, because there's a clean space, and most equipment will be recycled. Which means that the government wouldn't have to pay so much. Just imagine this, you are walking down the road, and you drop a glass bottle into a forest which is under you......just imagine what it will ruin down there. It will probably hit an animal, which would firstly hurt it, and may cause an injury, and secondly, that animal may try to eat it some how. The bottle may also hit a delicate flying animal which could possibly kill it. If the bottle doesn't hit anything, it would still be on the floor or in a pond, which would look horrible and ruin the animals' wildlife. So, think about what you could of done with the bottle......you could of recycled it which would benefit everyone else around you, and the environment.......so go away and think about what you have just read............

Recycling also helps preserve our natural, beautiful world...think about it...for every piece of paper you use a tree is being cut down...if we recycled the paper it would prevent that tree being cut down...you may be thinking one single tree wouldnt make a difference but if you imagine billions of trees being cut down every year just so we can write on paper...forests are cut down such as the Amazon...so many animals will lose their homes and die and many plants which could lead to medicines for major diseases would be destroyed for ever...your probably thinking that hows this going to affect me?...well, it wouldn't just affect the habitat of those animals but it would affect the whole world...it can lead to global warming...major changes in weather...many diseases would become uncurable...animals would die...the world could even change its orbit and axis on the largest extreme...

(1 SINGLE PLASTIC BAG TAKES 100 YEARS TO DECOMPOSE)

Imagine you have a big party...use lots of cans of coke in those plastic rings...you chuck them all away...the garbage disposal dump them somewhere...small animals live there...there homes are ruined...small animals get stuck in them and die...other animals try to eat them and die...some animals die from the shock...recycling can stop this...think before you act...think of all the consequences...be smart...RECYCLE!

Why recycle??

The United Kingdom produces millions of tonnes of household waste every year. Central government has now set statutory targets for recycling and recovery of household waste. Most of what we throw away is made from products that are slowly running out or cannot be replaced quickly enough because of the amount we consume. Many of the materials we throw in landfill tips have a value and can be used again For example, gardeners use peat as a soil improver. This involves the destruction of peat bogs, which are non-renewable habitats for wild flowers and animals. The use of peat is unnecessary because gardeners can make compost from their kitchen and garden waste to use as a soil improver. In addition to saving our peat bogs, composting (recycling) green waste save valuable landfill tip space which is running out fast in this country. Making new goods out of recycled material saves energy, for example, making new aluminium cans from recycled cans uses 20 times less energy than making cans from the raw material.Reducing what we use and recycling materials reduces the need to dig up or mine new raw materials, which often damages the surrounding environment. Many charities and community groups raise money through reusing and recycling. Employment can be provided by businesses involving renovation, repair and recycling. When dealing with waste it is not just a case of recycling, we need to use a simple set of rules that will help us deal with the waste we produce. By reducing the amount of waste we produce in the first place we lessen the problems of dealing with the waste mountain. Some items can only be used once and then have to be thrown away. By increasing the number of items that are reusable, we reduce the amount of rubbish going to landfill. Rather than throwing materials away, checking to see if they can be repaired cheaply and easily can save money and waste. And last of all...You have the ultimate power because if you buy goods with less packaging and waste the shops will provide more and more items with less packaging. If you only buy goods that are made from recycled products it will encourage more recycling. You have the choice and power to make a difference!
