My friend says they're caused by excess fat in your diet. I thought it was from eating lots of fiber, which would be a good thing, right?

Sorry for the confusion, by floaters, I meant floating poo (or poop if you will)

some doctors debat whether they should float or sink, if it floats it means your body absorb all the minerals out of whatever was digested, if it sinks its do to the fiber, but if there is nohing else going on orit look any different you should be fine.

I started having floater in my eyes in my 50s and was devastated. My Doctor told me I would get use to it. I went to an eye specialist who said my retina was not detached. After a month or so I didn't even notice the floaters. the body has a marvelous way of adjusting. (But if you mean poopie-floaters it is from fiber and a good thing.)

If you suddenly see a flood of floaters, consult a doctor quickly because it could be a sign that you have a detached retina which might lead to blindness. But if it is just one or two floaters, it is normal because as a person ages, he will get to see more.

Haha, ur talking about poop! HAHA! I love yahoo answers!

I think as long as ur poo is leaving the body, that's a great thing.

If you are really worried about it, go to a poologist.

Your friend was right. It's from a high intake of fat in your diet. (It was on an episode of House too! yay)
