I installed a new alpine head unit in my jeep wrangler and the speakers will not work. I also have a sub hooked up and it works. but the speakers will not. I have double checked all the connections.

First thing I would do is cut all the speaker wires loose from the radio and hook a non installed speaker to each of the outputs of the radio to make sure it is working. If all outputs are good then one by one hook the car speakers up to the radio. If you find one that isnt working it may be a bad speaker or grounded out speaker wire. My guess would be a grounded speaker wire because a bad speaker usually doesnt shut the output of a radio down.

How old is your Wrangler? Some Jeep Wranglers were equipped only with two dash speakers. Usually the factory radio was a 4-channel unit, so the factory harness just had both the front and the rear outputs connected to the same two speakers. This way the sound wouldn't change whether you faded to the front or to the back.

That works fine for a factory radio, but it doesn't work at all with a high-powered after-market deck. If your Wrangler isn't equipped with a sound-bar, and if you connected both the front and the rear speakers to the harness, try disconnecting the rear speakers and leaving only the fronts hooked up.

If your Wrangler has 4 speakers, or if it still doesn't work, then follow the advice above mine.
