Depends on who you ask. In the late 1970's scientists (maybe the same ones) were screaming about global freezing. More likely the earth is going through a regular period of adjustment. Somehow mankind always wants to take the credit/blame for these things, and foolishly pretends they know how to correct it.

All you need to do is watch the news, water levels rising, polar ice-caps frozen for thousands of years suddenly noticeably shrinking, drastically changing weather patterns worldwide over the past 5 years or so, thousands of new species popping up everywhere!
