I would without question move. I would never give up my dogs. When I got my dogs I took full life responsibity for them, their care and well being. And I think BSL is BS.

I would fight the ban.

But if I failed, yes. I'd move. In a heartbeat. Sadly, this is a real reality for everyone. I've already seen places that have put bans or restrictions on my breed, Boxers. Eventually, at the rate this world is going, I believe every breed will end up with atleast one place they cannot go. And what a sad day it will be. But until we get people to stop supporting bans, realizing it could be THEIR dogs next -- that day's coming.

I love my Boxers and nobody, nobody, is going to be taking them away from me anytime soon. I love my Springer Spaniel, and nobody is taking him away from me. They are part of me, and I will fight like hell or go where I needed to go to keep them.

I have moved twice before, for my dog, but that was for her own health. She has really bad skin, and we werent sure if it was related to environment or not, so we moved to another house, with different floor coverings and backyard conditions. And i have moved for her and another dog i own because the area we lived in was a bad neighbourhood, i had no problems with neighbours, but the local kids had begun teasing the dogs, and the last thing i wanted was for them to get nasty with kids, so i moved to an area this wasnt a problem in. I currently own 2 breeds which are on the watch list in australia, dobermans, and bull arabs(aussie pig hunting cross breeds). If they ever become banned in the area i live in, i wouldnt be living there much longer.

I'd move. you do have to take in consideration your job, life, and finances. but when it comes to my pets, they are the world to me. breeds like pit bulls, rottweilers, and other breed like that are notorious for being aggressive, but if you really look at the situation most of the time it's the owners not the dog. a dog goes off the attitude you project to him or her. any dog with proper training can be calm and submissive. it would take h*ll freezing over for me to give up my pets, you might see what you can do to fight the ban or change it. that many states are coming up with new laws for people or abuse and train their animals that way so that the breed is not banned, but the people who make their pets that are punished. it's not fair to a person or their dog that some people have made a bad name for any breed.

Getting rid of the dog is out of the question so I'd have to sell the house & move. Or, depending on how the statute is written, I might have to stay in town & seek legislative relief.

Either way, the dog stays with me! : )

I'd fight the law. Usually these types of laws the dogs already in the city are grandfathered in.

Me personally i would be careful who I let know I had tat breed. I would not move and I would not get rid of my dog. I would not get another one.

I would start a protest movement and get the law changed. These things don't happen suddenly, I would be protesting before it became a law.

Would I move if all else failed...probably...yes

I would move for my dog, however the fact that pitbulls are notorious for being vicious I am glad they are being put away. We have one here 2 doors down and it terrorizes the block here. It gets loose and the owners keep it in the front yard so it can bark and lounge at people who walk by. The guy sits in his front window to watch and laughs. So there is no sympathy from me.
