Nucleotides in RNA

Nucleotides are monoiacers consisting of phosphate group, a five carbon sugar(either ribose of deoxyribose) and a one or two ring nitrogen containg base.

Thymine is the nucleotide which is found in DNA.This is replaced by uracil. The difference between thymine and uracil is that thymine possess a methyl(CH3) group on one of the carbons of its ring and this methyl group is missing in uracil.Except for this change both have the same structure.
