If you have Comcast, then there's your problem. Comcast is taking GSN off the basic channels lineup in all of its areas eventually. It is, however, available on digital.

I was told today 12/19/13 that GSN was removed from all cable companies.

It is either:
1. They took it off the lineup all together (which I doubt).
or
2. It was moved to a higher channel to make room for Comcast's eventual move to an all digital line-up. So they moved it from their Analog line-up to their Digital.
If you have a cable box from Comcast, you should have received a message (through the cable box) notifying you of this move. And you will also need to be receiving a package greater than Extended Basic.

It was probably moved further up the dial. I still have it and I just checked. We had ours shift to 179 from channel 49. I also noticed that Hallmark channel might be doing a shift to channel 137 from channel 46.
