I have lost my wallet yesterday, it contained:
Social Security Card
Driver's License
Library Card
Insurance Card
ATM Card
Card containing my Bank number

I put my account on hold for my bank, so nothing can go through that account.
My library card I don't have to worry about, if they do go in to do something, they would have to pay late fees in order to take anything out.

But my License, Insurance Cards, and my Social Security Card. How do I go in getting these in which order? I don't have any sort of signed document, since I don't have my school ID, since I lost that in the car or threw it out. Not sure. What should I do? It was probably stolen at the carnival I was at. How do I protect myself from theft and everything?

Open an account with LifeLock. they will ensure that no one will steal your identity. They also back their words with a Million Dollar Guarantee that they will fix any problems that occur after opening your account.

Find your original birth certificate and take that with something like a doctor's bill, or even a w-2 form to social security. You will need a social security card to get a new driver's license in most states. You can get a new account and ATM card easily if you are known at the bank and a bank statement could also be helpful as a kind of transitional identification. Report all of the lost documents to the individual agencies. Insurance cards can be obtained from your insurance provider.

Of course, you acted quickly to cancel your accounts. Good.

Next step... Do you have a birth certificate? If not, go to court house or county office building and get another. Then call the Social Security Administration, tell them you lost your card. They will require proof of who you are, thats where the birth certificate comes into play.

After you have done this, bring your birth certificate to DMV to get your license back. You can always call your insurance company to get replacment cards for your insurance.

BIG thing is making sure you cancel your accounts at the bank, which could be kind of inconvieniant, you have to wait for them to issue a new atm card. Better safe than sorry, though.

First, a calm & clear mind is the best mind. 2nd, a license, you may want to contact the department of motor vehicles to ask the next step. Each state is different--they should be open on tuesday. For your insurance cards, each insurance card comes with a declarations page in the mail(The first page of the insurance policy with your name and address on it.) Call your insurance company from a phone number you find on the declarations page or on your insurance bill. If you pay your insurance bill online, a phone number will be provided for you there. For your social security card, you may have to contact the local social security administration office, which may be at your local town hall. If it's not at the local town hall, it will be a building near it.

geez, that's always fun. Do you have any idea where you lost it? If it was at a store ask if anyone has found it. Good job on cancelling the cards and the fraud alert. You can check your credit report for free in a few weeks since you put the alert on. Make sure nothing seems funny. Get a new license. Hopefully it turns up without any problems.
