So it's 5 grand for the illegals. I'm willing to bet if I take tours of a couple dozen countries I could probably get someone to offer a million for mine.

I have spoken with many that said they will NOT comply with any bill requiring deportation no matter how temporary, due to fear of not being allowed back in.

Use your heads people. As the above poster said, do you think they are going to voluntarily come forward, get stuck with a bill and then being sent out of the country??

If they entered illegally the first time in spite of the law, why would they do it legally now, through some "newfound respect" for our laws??

U.S. Citizenship is not $5,000. People who immigrate here are NOT considered citizens UNTIL they become US citizens
U.S. Residency is not $5,000 either.
The plan also includes
Paying back taxes- (god knows how much that would be since the IRS adds penalties daily and they have to prove they were here by a certain cut off date)
Application fees-
First 1st one they have to do is the I-130- $185.00
The actual processing fee for this application is $335.00
Then the adjustment of status application $395.00
Work Permit application-$195.00
Atty fees from $1,500-$3,000
This is just for residency. To get citizenship there would be the additional 5 year wait, paying taxes, not commiting a felony and then applying
U.S. naturalization i.e. citizenship application fee:
$330.00 plus and additional $70.00 for biometric fingerprinting.

So to get residency alone it would be a minimum of $7,610 plus what ever back taxes owed to max. $9110 plus back taxes

It is not going to be cheap and most people WON'T be able to afford it. IF they have the work permit and it expires at least we have a starting point to track them down and remove them. The way it is now we have no way of find those in the shadows unless they are in jail.

Citizenship should be a gift not a right that illgals demanded after they break our laws

How many pro-illegals think this bill is workable??

From is posted on here, pro-illegals insist deportation for 12-20 million people is impossible. If they stand by their opinion, then they can't support this bill.
