I always thought that to follow or worship Satan (as some do) would absolutely make me the greatest fool of all. You see, if I believed there was a Satan, then there would surely be a God also (since the whole concept supports that as being so), and since he (God) would be most certainly the more powerful of the two . . . well then, if I worshiped Satan, I would be worshiping the wrong lord (the ultimate loser, if you follow the logic). I personally worship none, and live according to good reasoning - what makes the greatest sense . . . and that reason has served me well!

If it's an option then I don't have to do it. If you mean I was forced to, I would probably do the Christianity. But I wouldn't feel it in my heart so ne real point is there.
I find it funny that all the Christians are assuming they know what we would do and it would be the awful one. Actualy our morals aren't very differnent then yours, we just don't need to be kept in line with the idea of Hell.

At least Satan is honest about being a backstabbing, lying, jerk. With him, you know that sooner or later death, pain and suffering are going to stab you in the heart when you least expect it.
The Christian god is the same way but lies about it.
Btw, you do realize that Satan only exists in Christianity, therefore its Christian, right?

If Christians have the opportunity to adopt atheism or become members of The First Church of Satan, which will they do?

Well, considering there is an atheistic form of Satanism, I'm going to bet they choose satanism.

If an atheist joined either of those groups they would no longer be an atheist. It completely defeats the purpose of even being one. Atheists don't just reject god, they don't believe in it.

This is typical of the types of questions asked by theists. Completely lacking sense, worth, or a point.

We have that option, along with every other belief system available on earth. We reject all of them (except for Pastafarianism, of course.)
Freedom of religion includes freedom from religion
