From 16-24 men get a big boost of testosterone, which makes us very aggressive at everything. It increases our sex drive to a crazy amount and we sometimes fly off the handle prematurely. That's probably the reason that car insurance for guys go down a lot one we reach age 25... we can think clearly again. Hope this helps.

Their hormones are running riot, and they haven't yet matured into more chilled-out older lads. They feel the need to 'prove themselves' hence the fights.
They might not have had sex yet, so they are curious to find out what it is like and seek out opportunities all the time.
Some psychologists also reckon that lack of sex leads to aggression in younger men, hence the brawls that 17/18 year old boys get themselves into.

As long as you suply the basic needs of a teenage boy....fully charged cell phone, unlimited text, top ramen, (don't forget the hot sauce), full computer access, free grazing rights to the refrigerator, homemade cookies, all the money you can spare, love, and support, you shouldn't have too many problems. Oh don't forget the steel cage for him, so you can sleep nights

Testosterone - men reach sexual peak around the age of 19...sad eh?! This also makes them want to fight.
Whilst us girlies have the chance to enjoy it for ages and ages and then, when we know everything about it, WE reach sexual peak!

Guys 17-18 are hormonally challenged, I'd say. They just can't control themselves. The good thing is that they do usually grow out of it and become regular people. :)

That is a very interesting question. I would say that they have made it about mid way through puberty and are curious about themselves. Men fight due to nature. Like male animals fight for territory, it is the same for humans.
