the only fat burning exercise is cardio (swimming, jogging, cycling, running etc), do it 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min) and combine it with weight training because cardio burns fat and muscle both (more muscle means faster metabolism)
eat healthy but dont deprive yourself.

to lose weight you need to create a negative energy balance (basically, burn more calories than you eat) . . . you can go to this website (http://www.apexfitness.com/html/tools/fit_calc/calorie/) and find out how many calories you should be eating every day . . . then, whatever that number is, you either want to eat 500 calories less per day, burn 500 extra calories from exercise per day, or (recommended) eat 250 calories less and burn 250 extra calories from exercise per day . . . that will get you to lose 1 pound per week (keep in mind that as your weight goes down, the amount of calories you need does too, so i would continually go back to the website as you lose weight)
the best way to burn fat is doing cardio exercise (jogging/running, sports like basketball and soccer, elliptical machine, aerobics classes like Tae Bo) . . . you should start out doing about 30 minutes of cardio 4 to 6 times/week . . . and as you start losing weight and building endurance, you can up the time to 35, 40, 45 minutes up to an hour
since you want nice abs, i would recommend strength (weight) training 3 to 5 times/week, doing 3-5 sets of 8-12 repetitions (depending on the exercise) . . . also cut down on starchy foods (potatoes, white bread), foods high in artificial sugar (cookies, candy), and foods high in saturated fat (french fries, chips) . . . don't go overboard on the protein in your diet (in your diet, your calories shold consist of 30% protein, 50% carbohydrates, and 20% fat)
DRINK LOTS OF WATER
also, when you are focusing on your abs, make sure you do a lot of different exercises . . . sit ups/crunched only really work your upper abs . . . make sure you are doing exercises for your lower abs and obliques . . . good luck

Do exercises on single-bar, jogging, walking, swimming & yogic exercise. NOR. Obesity : This is due to : (1) Malfunctioning of Thyroid/Parathyroid gland and later on other endocrine glands e. g. malfunctioning of Pineal gland leads to retention of water and excess water in the body and leads to excess fat. (2) Underworking of sex glands mainly in ladies after delivery of a child. (3) Overeating i.e.taking more calories than required by the body. Cure : (1) Take acupressure treatmenton all endocrine glands twice daily. (2) Take gold/silver/copper charged water daily 2 glasses reduced from 4 glasses. ( 3 ) Drink hot water only during the day always after meals. (4) In the morning in one glass of hot water add juice of half a lemon and one tablespoonful of honey. Drink it That will reduce the desire to eat/drink sweets. (5) Chew food at least 15 times. (6)Drink 3 to 5 cups of green juice a day adding 1 teaspoonful of health drink to each cup. This will help to reduce the body very fast without any side effects. (7) Eat plenty of salads adding 100 grams of sprouted cereals like Mung. Also eat two seasonal fruits + 1 glass of buttermilk. (8) Avoid all food if possible. However, in spite of the above diet, if you feel very hungry, take preparations of only wheat or only rice. That will reduce the intake of food. But eat this food only when you are very hungry. (9) Do Pranayam+Ling Mudra+Acupressure. If you need further any help regarding this, can contact with me by e-mail.

run dude run!
running burns so much fat
if you cant run now...jog alot
jog until you can run
run in the mornings and at night
3 times a day if you can...A treadmill is a big help
Stay away from sodas unless they are diet
And find something that motivates you to want to lose weight so whenever you want to give up or eat something bad you can just use that to keep yourself in line
Good luck :D
