I used to weigh 160+ pounds, but a strict diet and exercise plan I've been following since January has allowed me to now weigh 132. I'd really like to be below 130, preferably 125, but that darn scale won't budge!
My main exercise of choice has been running the dog. Not only do I get exercise, but she gets out and TIRED (the primary benefit of exercising a hyper puppy!) I used to go about 4 days a week, and I bumped that up to 6, but I'm still stuck at the same weight. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to budge that scale? Also, why is it so easy to lose weight in the beginning, but not so easy after you've already lost it?

This is going to sound crazy, but what you actually have to do is exercise LESS.
You have been turning your food energy into MUSCLE, and muscle weighs more than fat does. To see the scale drop, go down to running every second day. (Substitute other play time so your pup doesn't feel left out.)
And above all--stick to your diet.
I too was stuck on that plateau waiting for those last 8 pounds to come off. I too tried doubling up my exercise routine. Although my waist and thighs and butt were slimming down and firming up, I wasn't losing any weight. Until I remembered something I had heard on TV about muscles WEIGHING more than fat. So I decided to try halving the exercise regimen instead, and it was like magic...in less than a month I had fallen over the end of that stubborn plateau, and was struggling not to lose TOO MUCH weight!

Instead of running more you might try a new exercises.
What about going running with the puppy and then trying something new. Try riding a bike or playing a sport.
You may also need to adjust your diet. Often when you hit a plateau you need to re-evaluate your diet and change things up. Try eating more proteins (meats- lean meats like chicken, or lean red meats, beans, soy, small amounts of cheese or peanut butter (but don't get carried away).
Basically, your body had adjusted both to the diet and the exercise. Running isn't having the same effect because your body is used to it, the same with the diet.
The last 10 pounds are the hardest to lose, but they are worth it. Just keep up, and don't get discouraged. It sounds like you have come a long way and you should be very proud of yourself for taking control of your life and getting healthy!
You can do it!! Just try to change things up a little and your body will react to the differences.
GOOD LUCK

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Your exercise is maxed out in this range so revisit the diet aspect.
Have you been rewarding yourself for the exercise by getting lax about your diet?
If not, substitute lower calorie healthy foods for higher calorie ones.
If you tweak the calorie part and don't change your exercise routine, you'll get there, even if it takes longer than you wish it would.
Good luck!
