Many illegal immigrants don't think too much or not at all about the future of the nation, they worry about getting a job, having enough to eat and other existential concerns. Some no doubt do think about the country and worry about it. Any time we consider a large group of individuals, there will be differences in their human condition and how they feel.
An idea for you:
Did Jesus Christ worry about Judea or about Rome?
The scripture seem to suggest he was worried about individuals souls, specially about the ones that were temporarily lost.

To most illegal immigrants, like a huge number in this country, the future of this country means absolutely nothing. They can't think past today. However, there are Hispanic groups in this country who are perverting the reason illegals come here to serve their own agenda of banding together to wreck havoc with the future of this country. I used to think the result of slavery was the cancer that would bring this country down. It isn't, its illegal immigration. Our government gets it, but because of votes, they don't get it. That not only makes them accessories to the loss of this country, it makes them the primary culprit!

The future of this country means everything to the immigrants
legal or not. Who would not want a better life for there children?
Some will retire in there homeland far from there American
born children and grandchildren, who are by the way citizens
now. Next time they read off the death tole in Iraq for the weak,
count and see how many had Hispanic names. I have met
very few immigrants that I didn't like. Every culture has a few
black sheep in it.

Many of them believe THEY are the future of our country, especially the ones from Mexico who argue that we stole land from them long ago. Well, Americans DID steal land from Mexico, but since the people coming here own no land anywhere, it's doubtful that the stolen land ever belonged to THEIR ancestors. And I certainly didn't get any land from the people who stole it. Provided, of course, that you believe in private property, the argument doesn't hold water. But the self-righteous attitude of the illegal alien lobby indicates THEY don't believe in private property, since it is defined by LAW.

I think the future of the USA is indeed meaningless to the invaders.
But that's not really important. It's not their country, so there's no reason to expect them to care. What's far more important than the invaders' lack of concern is our own government's lack of concern.
If you want to be angry about the invaders' attitude, that's fine. I don't like it myself. Just remember to reserve some anger for the president and senators who are collaborating with the enemy.

I will agree with other posts, most are here to get what they can and get out... If they wanted a future here at all they would work on at least learning to speak English instead of demanding that we learn their language, that should be a warning sign.

they know our country wont do to them what theirs would do to them.thats why its more important for those people to stand up for themselves.i can say my family has stood for america since its inception.my family fought in these wars for this country from the start.my family tree shows this.
coming here to work and sending it home and living where the peso is worth about a good chunk of dirt compared to our dollar should tell ya something.i do my fair share of helpin less fortunate here in america.i open my home to people ive met that are good people.i give them opportunity to get a job and pay rent.i have even help get a younger guy a car and he makes monthly payments.he went from a NYC hoodlum, even he admits to a respectable working young man.i told him the things my father told me....and didnt listen to much, until i was older and slapped my head and said"if i would have only listened".
im blue collar, work for the city government, water.my job is hard.we use from regular labor skills(shoveling)to technical (laptops) to being customer service out in the field.theres only about 30 of us taking care of our part of the city, and its a giant tourist city.we have tons here.when they save enough they send money for others to come.they live together they save together they send for others.they even get cars.we've had some accidents lately where the driver was an illegal driver.
my question is....do they care what americans think?knowingly crossing into a country they know they arent supposed to be in tells me the answer to that question.
Mexicans...stand up for yourselves in your own country.DONT come here demanding shitt from people because you worked a couple years here.we have LAWS.We as CITIZENS live them everyday.YOU are here and ILLEGAL,so obviously you dont care about our LAWS.
to the guy below...The BIBLE also tells you to live by the laws of the land.Touche'?Chum?

I have very little confidence that they will assimilate when they are legalized. I think they will likely continue to fly Mexican flags, speak Spanish and identify themselves as Mexican. Immigration doesn't work without assimilation.
