Myself had an s13 although on the euro spec 200sx side but all but the same as the s13 silvia but had the ca18det engine overall the car was a great car and was my late Mums before mine and now my bro's and is still going strong. And it has 130k on the clock, and never broke down.

First off we call it the Silvia the 240 SX in America and it does not have the 1.5 liter engine. And the last 240sx was made in 1998. The Altima, Truck motor was used 2.4 Liter KA engine and most were automatic transmission. Good examples can be had for as little as $5,000 us dollars for a 10 ten year old car.

Just look up what the price of a 240sx costs, on Kelly Blue Book, or N.A.D.A. The 240's were built on the Silvia chasis, and have the same engines. They are fun cars, and will drift all day long in stock form.

You must import are find one off Modifiedcartrader.com
s13 base model no mods-5,000
s14 same thing -9,000+
s15 same thing-around 25,000
All silvias are right hand drive make sure you check that. If it says silvia and it is not(a right hand drive) they just put an sr20det in it. s13 model is the best fore tuning do to the high ported heads.

I agree with John except on a few points:

The 240sx engine and the Altima and truck engine were different. It's a common misconception that they use the same engine. The displacement and some parts are the same, but they are different blocks.

Also, "MOST" 240sx cars were NOT automatics - there were approximately twice as many manual cars as automatics built between 1989 and 1998.

There are a TON of 240sx cars for sale at http://www.240sx.org , which is also the definitive resource for these cars.
