I've only heard few 6's that had a good sound so I say who knows how it will turn out. But I do recommend Magnaflow. I've been very happy with my muffler and they have a cat back system for your jeep.

an in line six can sound excellent if you keep a few things in mind. at idle you maybe want to be able to hear it but not much, so a cat back system of 2.5 inches is adequate [bigger you will lose some low end torque] for the muffeler, if you use a flow-master it will sound unpleasent and be annoying-unless you tone it down with a glasspack type sound absorbtion muffeler installed in the tail pipe [acting as a resonator] if you have a trailer hitch i doubt if you have room for this. however a six can sound much sweeter than even an 8 at the rpms of peak torque[ best volumetric efficancy] note the even firing v-6's like the blazette sound pretty awful unless an H pipe is installed between the "convertors" and muffelers
while the low end torque loss may be small from a larger system the guy below has probably done other extensive modifications to both of his jeeps so this earns his advice a MALL rating. reasonable is probabley all that you need especally if truck is otherwise stock

Either muffler should be an improvement over stock for what you're looking for.
An inline 6 is not going to have the same 'sound' as a V-8 no matter what you do.
It's a smoother-running design, because of the internal mechanics of the engine there just isn't the v-8 blub-blub-blub sound you're probably looking for.
You have three options as I see it:
1. Get a different truck with a v-8 (even a v-6 would probably SOUND more like what you want)
2. Swap in a V-8
3. Install a flowmaster and deal with it sounding like a "little" engine.
Most folks like the Cherokee for its solid axle design, smooth i-6, and the fact that they're pretty cheap. I don't know anyone who runs a cherokee for the deep, throaty exhaust sound.
Sorry, but it is what it is.

I run a deep sounding cherokee and in fact two if you count my son's. One is also a stroker.
One way http://www.mallcrawlin.com/forum//showthread.php?t=6453
Two is increase from cat back to 3"..More is from engine forward. Flow Master will do this. I just think they rust too soon.
From muffler use two outlets. Differenct sound due to slightly out of sync.
My advice though is to NOT go too loud or your will get tired of the drone in the back glass..perticularly on the highway.
No, none of this will make your Cherokee sound like those crappy ricers. Kill me first. Your engine is too much larger. As for the comments on "It is a six" consider that those good sounding V's are... for a 5.7 liter..only 2.85 liter per side and a 7.4 ..454 is only 3.7 liter per side..you have 4 in a single exhaust. The Three inch exhaust DOES make a deeper sound and you can use it. Do not listen if someone claims "you will lose torque" not true.
Good Luck

An honest mechanic... They do exist!!!
What he's trying to say is this, you have a 6 banger.... It's either going to sound decent, or it's going to sound like a six banger trying to sound bad!
