I get ur point sis
i see u don`t have a choice either u wear it or u go to prison and by the way that is the way in other arab countries.
other countries there is no certain law that can force u do that but they use other methods like terrorizing people, by speeches whish are sometimes done by people who are not educated and by telling them about azab al kabr
others get engaged and before getting married her fiance give her a choice either to cover her hair or he leaves her and of course she has to do it or else he will leave her and in east it is very bad for a girl to be left just before her wedding.
and there are many ways used instead of laws that takes u to prison,it`s another way of imprisonment.
yet there are strong women who are well educated and have got strong will and they never surrender to others, if they do it they should be convinced and i admire them.
Good luck for u just finish ur education that`s the most important thing that matters.cz being educated will give the will and freedom.

Well, there are a lot of contradictions that one faces, in life.
While Iran is an Islamic Country, let's not forget that so is Malysia where the Muslims are much more progressive.
Now, take the example of Turkey, where 98% of the population are Muslim and, now prepare yourself for a shock, "hijab" is illegal there! You are not allowed to wear a scarf on the head there! And all the women wear modern, Western clothes there!
Look at the Lebanese Muslims and tell me how many Muslim women can you find there wearing hijab? It'll be like searching for the proverbial needle in the haystack! And that's another Islamic Country, isn't it?
I'd say this is more of a local practise than a Religous one.
Fact is, though, that Islam requires just the covering of the hair, by women, in what's called "hijab" or, in Farsi, "chador".
The operative word is "modest". A lady can be modest in revealing clothes and uncovered hair, by her attitude; but, unfortunately, it's something that most wouldn't understand.
It's a great pity that more people go by their own interpretation of the Qua'aran than what was said there.
I must agree with you that it does seem to border on deceit and lying, considering that a lot of these things go against the spirit of Allah's Word.
Ma sala'mah, aziza.

Your English is a bit difficult, however I think I get your point.
You are not correct. Nor was the person who said that Muslim woman can choose to wear a hijab or not.
It is dependent on the laws of the country where she lives.
Yes, Iran is an EXAMPLE of a Islamic country however, not all Muslims in the world live in Iran. Nor do Iran's laws govern all Muslims. Muslim women in Trinidad are free to choose to wear a hijab or not. There is no law in Canada that can force a woman to cover her hair, it is the woman's choice to do that or not. Furthermore, not all sects of Islam require this.
What your father may or may not impose on you is not a implication of freedom or not. You are still free to make that choice, but you do not like the alternative your father has presented you. You can still leave your family's house and live as you please.
You may be a Muslim girl, but you are rather ignorant about how your religion runs outside your own country.

muslim women don't have to cover their face, but in my knowledge, they are supposed to cover their heads, atleast in the presence of men that they are not closely related to..As for Iran being a muslim country, i feel it is a bad example..because,islam doesn't permit force-feeding of religion, since it is a matter close to the heart, and such enforcements as is seen in Saudi Arabia, and as you say,Iran etc. would do nothing but fill their minds with hatred..
As for freedom, i don't see how dressing provocatively can indicate it..Women in islam have all sorts of freedom regarding wealth, knowledge, etc. just as much as men in islam do..and if any sort of injustice has been done to you regarding this,i'd like to let you know that it is not because of the religion, but the misinterpretation of it..And i'm not lying.

If we consider a country to be Islamic that follows the laws of God rather than the whims of man...then there is no Islamic country in the world today....not Iran, not Saudi Arabia, no where. all of these countries force muslims to practice a certain brand of Islam that has culture all twisted up into it which is against the very nature of Islam.
there is "no compulsion" in religion according to the Quran....so even if the Quran(God) says to veil....men cannot force women to do so as your sin is your own burden and no one else's as long as you are not hurting anyone else....
God gave us the choice of freewill....men are the ones that took it away....and then call it Islamic
I agree with the other posters when I say you do not sound like a muslim...very sad. why pretend to be something your not?

Muslims don't lie. The people who call themselves Muslims and lie and do something cruel or unjust to others are not truly Muslims. Also what you said happens in Iran to the woman who don't wear veils is viewed as something wrong to do but most people cannot do anything to stop people who think that it is the right thing to do.

Look at the responses from the cynic and nada. They claim that you are lying because not all countries are as repressive, and claim that since your english is only good but not perfect then you must certainly be wrong. That is how theists can blind themselves to the truth, and keep on deluding themselves. That is what religion does best, lie to others, lie to self.

"Isn't Iran an example of Islamic country in the world?"
yes.. and no.
like any religion, islam has its extremeists and its different factions and groups with slightly different beliefs.
Iran has one set of beliefs that are enforced by law.
most other countries have multiple sets of beliefs and varying grades of belief..... all of which are usually NOT linked to the law of the country.
Most other countries in the world, muslim girls are free to cover or not to cover as they wish....
it depends how what parts of islam they believe in and how far they take it - its personal choice.

I seriously doubt that you are a Muslim and you want examples of Muslim countries where girls are not forced to wear hijab?
Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Turkey, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Qatar and the list is endless.
Please do not spread hatred and lies. Secondly, take a lesson in English writing, you desperately need one.
Cheers.
